Ralph Waldo Emerson: We ask for long life, but 'tis deep life, or noble moments that signify. Let the measure of time be spiritual, not mechanical.
Brian blessed, David Bellamy, fidel Castro, obi wan kenobi and Sally bercow spring to mind?
assuming you aint a chrome dome, use the same shampoo and conditioner that you use on yer head.
Have a beard but no wax or oil is applied, but then mine is kept trimmed

If I'm feeling a bit girlie, a squirt of L'Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil will keep your woman happy
These are the ones I use

Dr K soap company is top stuff.
I'm on my third week of growth. Just started using this;

Amazing!
Come to think of it the woman who won the last Eurovision song contest had a fine one as well
Mine dries out a bit so I use Jojoba oil but only when I've let it grow quite long. Works a treat and has the added bonus of getting rid of beard dandruff. If my tash starts growing up my nose I sometimes wax it down, but that gets tedious so I trim it.

I wash my goatee with the same shower gel I use on the rest of me. When it gets longer, I do use hair wax to give a pointy shape, but that quickly gets tedious and I just trim it!

All you need is -
FFS beard shampoo
Mr Natty Franks beard elixir
And Mr Natty twizzle wax for when Movember comes round
Claire Balding. So like Desperate Dan it's uncanny.
Elton John had one.
My brothers use a 'gentleman's stiffener' on the upper lip
Just ordered some of this - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Beard-Oil-...item4182f24d4a
Some great feedback. :)
Is mine a beard, I'm not really sure. I tend to drift from the Jason Statham grade 0 all over, to the (as my wife puts it) bastard love child of Abu Qatada and a yeti look depending on how often I feel like trimming it.
I can't say I've ever felt the need to soften it though. Perhaps that's why my wife tells me to trim it from time-to-time
I have and recently it was very long so could get pretty dry.
To keep it in good nick I used beard balm from the Brighton beard company and firehouse wacky tacky moustache wax. Sometimes some oil from eBay called Jack.
A few days ago I trimmed it completely down. With it being much shorter it doesn't really need all that product so I've just been using some cheap Boots Bay Rum on it.
For washing beard, hair and everywhere I highly recommend Grandpa's Pine Tar Soap. It is great stuff.
^^^^ amusing...!!!
Amusing but not sure most are helpful to the OP.
Had a beard for 15 years but never felt the need for specialist products. Used same shampoo as hair on head and same conditioner.
Beard was kept exceptionally short though.
Now clean shaven most of the time.
me, head and shoulders. that is all.
I ironically daub after shave, or after shave balm on, if I'm feeling that way inclined
Been having a lot of luck with Beard and Company. Wide range of products and prices. They only use all natural carrier and essential oils which I found out by trying products that have synthetic fragrances oils that ended up irritating my skin.
Really helped my beard dandruff (ew I know)
I have had a fine beard and am currently donning one, initially I purchased many fine oils that cost strong money and did a great job, however now I just use Bulldog Beard Oil as its cheap and does the same and when Im cooking I rub coconut oil into it.
