    Any stout drinkers with recommendations

    Hi,

Are there any stout drinkers who can recommend a good cream or milk stout(s) available on the high street?

Came across St Peters cream stout and dragon stout.

    Thanks

Probably not widely available but the Dark Star brewery expresso stout is worth a shout.

    Is Mackies (Mackesons) still going?

My Dad used to bring my Mum home a bottle, on the way home from a skin-full in the pub.

My local off licence specialises in 'craft' beers.
They stock some great stouts....tonight I tried Brew by Numbers 08/01 Stout.
I am happy to report it was delicious......Hic!

If you go off-High Street a whole universe of stouts and porters opens up. Try Beerhawk's website.

I took my dad there last weekend. Best pint of Guinness I've had (and I've had loads!)

Had some lovely stuff on draught in the porterhouse pub in covent garden a few years back, there own brew oyster stout, they also do 2 others called plain and wrassler which were good. Porthousebrewco chain has pubs in Ireland as well as the London one. Think you can buy it online in bottles.
I remember having Beamish black on draft many years ago, that was nicer than Guinness or Murphys
The bar at my uni campus did a really good one on draught, but for the life of me I can't remember what it was called, not seen it anywhere else then or since, if I remember i'll let you know.
Not a stout, but a black beer/porter, Timothy Taylor Ram Tam is gorgeous

I'm with you there on Bath Ales, had a pint of the normal bitter somewhere in Hampshire the other day, hopefully it's spreading on draught. Weren't we going to try to organise a pishup in Bath?

Brains Original Stout is worth a sip. Quite commonly available too (e.g. Tesco).
