So Falcon Rising last night So bad, it was good. Reminded me of those excellent straight to VHS movies that my brother always got, back in the day, when a Saturday trip to the video rental place was all the hype for a 14 year old.

Paddington; so PC it's brainwash material for kids. Very bad, the bear isn't even real.

Just back from Fast and Furious 7, now i know you have to suspend disbelief when watching this type of film, but this one really was seriously way over the top in terms of the action, it looked more like a superhero cartoon with the stunts and fights, which was only broken up by what i think might have been several rap videos being thrown in to beef the time of this movie up a bit.

As for the melodramatic bits, they were akin to an 80s US soap opera, it really must have been hard to gather up so many wooden actors for one film as well.

The Other Woman. I know its another film not really aimed at my demographic, but I thought it may be watchable as a "date movie" (not in the Cilla sense, don't worry).

Problem is that although Kate Upton looks fantastic, she's an unbelievably bad actress. Hopeless. Made Nicki Minaj look like Meryl Streep.

I hate that sort of stuff where the "hero" is a CGI animation.

Hulk and Scooby doo come to mind.
    Cheers,

Went and saw Jupiter Rising a few weeks ago, and can only just bring myself to write about it now.

    Execrable in every respect.

But at least I know I'll enjoy episodes four and five....six is ok.
Episode 3 is by far the best of the second trilogy.

My kids (OK, they are 17 & 20 but still referred to as kids!) went to see this and thought much the same. Terrible considering the enormous budget. I think you need to start with a decent story...

They tried to cast a real talking bear but his points demands on merchandising were to high ;)

I enjoyed Paddington. the enjoyment is starting to wear thing as I have now seen it at least 10 times but Nichole Kidman keeps me coming back for more!

  23. #523
The Prince. Despite having a decent cast - Bruce Willis, John Cusak and Jason Patric - they were obviously only doing it for a paycheck. Derivative and cliched drivel.

    Snap.

Feel like I have been hit over the head repeatedly with a stupid stick. Beyond crap (apart from the last 5mins of Paul Walker stuff)

I don't think I posted my review, and how disappointed I was by this pile of shite.

I liked 5 and 6 a lot, but this was beyond poor, I'd have slapped the writer and director if they had been in the cinema!

The fact I'd been eagerly awaiting it made it so much worse.

I gave M. Night Shamalama Ding Dong's 'Devil' the time of day. Interesting idea but 30 minutes in the acting, dialogue and cliched horror score is so bad I couldn't give a toss who the devil is.

Indeed. The sequels are a confusing mess.

So bad I actually thought I was imagining it and watched it twice . It actually made me angry , so much great work in such a bad movie. A total waste of the talents of hundreds of people. The Wachowskis have only made 2 good films ; Bound and The Matrix. The rest are like instruments of torture.

    In a similar vein ,

Ex Machina I also found to be boring predictable drivel.
Enders Game ; almost as bad as Jupiter Ascending.
    Infini ; boring corridor crawl.
The Lazarus Effect; a bad episode of the twilight zone; turned off after 40 minutes.
Chappie ; felt like a cynical advert from Robocop stretched out with terrible performances and plot ( and I like Die Antwoord).

Tommorow Land. I rarely fall asleep at the cinema but I couldn't help myself after the first 20 minutes

Only god forgives is a truely terrible film but looking at the directors back catalogue it's no wonder. Can't say a bad thing about Drive though

Watched A Most Violent Year last night - I don't think it was totally rubbish but I did end up thinking to myself what actually happened in that film which couldn't have been done in less than 30 mins? Just seemed a very drawn out plot line.

Maybe I just didn't get it.........

I saw it 1 1/2 times at the cinema. The first time would have been enough for me, but the second trip was because another group of friends who I hadn't seen in ages wanted to a trip to the cinema followed by a restaurant. Didn't realise what they wanted to see until it was too late. Sadly, it was the day of the Stockline Plastics factory explosion, which had caused power problems in Glasgow. The cinema kept getting hit by power cuts, and in the end they stopped the film and offered refunds or the chance to see it on another night. I took the refund.

Interstellar - over hyped and over indulgent dross from a much overrated director. I knew I shouldn't have bothered.

Welcome to the Punch (2013) was on the telly last night, decent cast - Mark Strong and James MacAvoy and a reasonable plot but just utter cack.
