Value of this vintage Daytona 6263

I located this watch (Rolex 6263)
Head only, in original condition, no service parts besides de crystal that was replaced.
The owner knows that they are selling at chrono24 for 20k.
What should be a good price for me and for him? I am not very familiar with prices of these watches.
These are the photos that I got.

Difficult to tell condition based on the pictures, but looks like a Sigma dial. If you can get it for sub £20k, then it's not a bad deal (subject to condition).

I think it's the same model as shown here:
    http://www.hodinkee.com/blog/whats-s...-and-a-minerva

Although that one was in almost new condition.

Here are some less worse photos!

There is a chance to have sub 17k!

How you manage to find such wonders astounds me.......goodness looks very interesting. I know maybe
a few experts here but there are maybe more on the Vintage Rolex place.....17k euros or pounds....either
way academic and you need much better pictures....if at hand post some more....drool

edit......try an offer - but be prepared to bite his hand off at 15k anything except Ecuadorian cruds!

Don't want to be pedantic, but isn't that a pre Daytona?

That's a big dent in the bezel at 12

20k isn't what I would pay for a 6263, market is down at the moment, 14~15 max IMO, especially when missing the bracelet.

Thanks for the opinions! I may get it for 14.000-15.000 euro. Even with market down they will not go lower than this.
It has a dent but the all is original and is unpolished. A lot of these 6263 has replacement bezels and dials...

That's a very good price and honestly I agree the only way is up from that price point so it's a really good deal.
