I had that watch for a while, but there were two things that put me off; the shape of the hands, and the size and weight. It is a substantial watch! Very well made too.

Get some SLA017 style hands fitted, and this'll be perfect (unless it's perfect for you already of course).

Thanks for the suggestion but I very specifically wanted the sword hands.

This is my SKX009, owned it for years and was my first automatic watch. Think I paid £40 for it with box and papers. I have the original jubilee bracelet but mostly wear it on this Omega mesh strap. I wear it on holidays and when I shouldn't be wearing my Omega. It's battered and used but never gives up.

I also have a Seiko quartz chronograph that I wear occasionally, mostly to see if I like the leather strap and busier dial.

Really I want one of the FFF modded Seikos to go with the mesh bracelet and then return the SKX009 back to it's jubilee.

I like sword hands personally too, but they do get a bit of flak from some quarters.

7548-700B isn't specific to the jdm market, Stefan. Is it? 700F and 700B can be SQ dialled or 150mResist dialled afaik. I don't think it's been concluded what the actual difference between the two is. My guess is that there are more 700F SQ dials maybe all later in production. But I've had and seen both with differing dial texts. Unless I'm mistaken which is possible.

Well I certainly am/was under the belief that -700F was SQ (US/International market) without Kanji daywheel and -700B was JDM, 150M Resist, without SQ script and with Kanji daywheel. That has been the case for all the ones I have owned/seen/handled.

But almost two decades into this hobby I have learned that one can rarely be 100% sure about anything relating to vintage watches. So apologies if my previous post was incorrect! Lewie, is your watch marked as a -700B?

ISTR an in depth 7548 research post on SCWF a while back, perhaps these variations was discussed there?

There was but it became inconclusive.

Here are a couple of near mint 700B I had.

There is also a 700F on eBay for parts not working (but expensive for what it is) that's an sq dial version.

    Case closed, pretty conclusive.

So Kanji day wheels only on some -700B then but never on F?
Or is there no (apparent) logic to which reference that has the Kanji day wheels either?

Trying to remember the day wheels Stefan I'd say they were not kanji but likely Spanish or French.

Interestingly it is larger and thicker that the GS diver. It could be due to the asymmetric case with the huge crown at 12:00.

Literally it is a clock but as it is made of Ti, no burden on the wrist. ...that I rather enjoy wearing and find no issue with even shirt.

Hi ya - yes, both on original Isofrane's. IMO the strap is spot on for both of them.

Just popped a new subtle dome sapphire with blue ar into this earlier today. Borealis rubber strap also arrived in today's post and I can highly recommend them. Amazing quality for the meagre price. IMG_20180209_112749_HDR.jpg

Been waiting on this one to arrive.

SRP789 coke bezel version, love the look of it but the alignment is bad. The photo makes it look better than it really is so needs sorting. Bought if from one of the eBay sellers that are supposedly Ireland based but only ship to the UK and duty free. They have asked for a photo to see how bad the alignment is before they offer a solution. If I choose to return it they charge a 20% restocking fee, is that even legal?

Nice to get the MM300 on the wrist today. I usually wear it on the rubber strap, but have put the bracelet on for a change.
