I think this is one of the best looking modern Seiko's.... All Nippon Airlines (ANA) pilots designed. Sold via the on-board catalogue during 2004.
I wanted one of these for some time, then I found one on the Yahoo.jp auction.

I'm curious to know if the bezel rotates? I agree, it's a nice looking thing.

    No, the bezel doesn't rotate.
The only issue with this watch for me is the lowly 7S26 movement. It's a shame it didn't get a 6R15.

That is the most desirable Seiko I have ever seen.

I bought a watch in-flight last year. The first time I have ever seen a watch in the in-flight duty free catalogue that wasn't a cheap fashion quartz. A proper automatic no-less. Similar to yours in that it was a Lufthansa pilots watch by Muhle Glasshutte - a special edition of the Terrasport II. It's quite nice.

    That ANA Seiko though. Swoon...

Wow, that looks to be mint! I have no idea what happened to my box, it's the only one I've not kept hold of (or hoarded as the wife keeps telling me) of my other Seikos.

It turns out I actually bought it in the early 90's, not the 80's as I thought but I've just popped in a new battery (thanks for the info) and it's sprung back in to life after all this time. I'm not sure whether I'll replace the crown as I've not got the links I'd originally removed from the bracelet and my wrists aren't as svelte as they were a couple of decades ago so it will never be a wearer, but again, thanks for the advice, though I'm currently giving a good clean and replacing the bent shoulder pins.

7017 flyback, just been serviced and operating perfectly. I think it looks pretty good on the tropic.

The ever so hard to come by SARB045, just added today!

  17. #2917
SARG001 - I got this one in a few days ago. A bit beat up and has obviously been worn as a daily but these are hard to come by and the dial is ace.

These are mostly Seiko but there's a fair few Citizen and a couple of other Japanese makes included!!

Can't decide on a strap for this one. Orange brings out the orangey red "water resist" on the dial, but it might be a bit much. Going to get a tuna shroud for it and maybe a new bezel insert too. Anyone bought from kontrolsports on ebay?

Golden Turtle and my favourite of this series. Especially on this Crafter Blue strap - SRP775

...and this is my Dads 6602-0050. I might have just appropriated it for a bit though. It is so simple and utilitarian. The classic salaryman's watch.

Sorry about the rubbish photo, I took it on my phone and couldn't see the screen very well in the sun. This is my Shogun enjoying some beach time in Cornwall, I didn't go near the water though - too cold!

Sarx029 'Urushi' again today. One of those Seiko's that makes me question buying anything more expensive (until something else shiny catches my eye!).

Thanks, the only thing I'd change is make it 38mm instead, but superb quality and very accurate. White enamel version very nice too.

The first is my "go to" daily and has been for a number of years .
The digital I bought in the late 70s and has more memories and witnessed more than most would in a life time and it never misses a beat !
