I would like a vintage Seiko chrono. Where is a good place to look for them?

This one arrived this morning from forum member henryviii. The Sumo is a lot of watch for the money.

For comparison, below is a picture of my "new version" Sumo with the seemingly much-disliked "X" on the dial. Works great though I must add. Before anyone comments, yes it is massive !

    Cool photo...

The "X" that's really a crossed P & S is a nice logo but I think Seiko are over using it, still wouldn't stop me buying a watch that I liked.

Thanks for the comments. TBH, I prefer the old, traditional dial but wanted a new watch so had to settle for this model. I now think it is a really great looking watch but I know that there are detractors.

    It's a circa 2014 yobokies double domed sapphire for a 6309/7548 and I removed the A/R coating.

    Beside a couple of 7548's.

Nice threesome, the vintage quartz divers are really nice and probably a better everyday watch than an SKX.

Did the retaining ring screw down properly? Just curious because I thought that a 7c43 crystal needs a beveled edge to allow the retainer to screw down properly.

The retaining ring screwed down perfectly. I think it is one of only two double domed sapphire (for the 6309 or 7548) that fits the 7C43. Mine is a yobokies double domed sapphire but Dagaz sells them too.

That does look great. Love my 7c43 but it's always been something I've wanted to change crystal on. Maybe one like yours would be a nice change.

I fitted a flat sapphire to mine but it was not for me. The double domed sapphire certainly gives the dial some depth.

Great pictures of the 7C43-7000s. Mine belonged to my father and was passed over to me couple of years ago.

The rubber Zulu really suits that beautiful watch S.L, looks much better than on a bracelet for me.

Lovely patina. The old 7548s and especially the 7C43s are about as good as quartz ever got. Tuna movements in a classic Seiko diver case. Unbeatable!
