^^cheers... its a humble SKX007. I had the lugs drilled, and then fitted sapphire crystal, triple grip bezel and big pip insert myself. The case needed a little gentle fettling as it had some damage on the lugs.

That looks great, Brad - loving the drilled lugs on the case.

Lack of drilled lugs is a key element missing on the SKX in my opinion.

Cheers Matt... I agree the SKX screams out for drilled lugs. And very happy with this project. Perhaps 'one' of the best yet? The 171 looks well on flat vent though ;-)

Where did you get the lugs drilled?

The watch looks great! The triple grip bezel? Was it bought new or did you rob it off a used diver?
    Thanks.

Cheers - I don't believe you can buy the triple grip new any longer. Only way would be to find somebody with one spare or find a complete watch with one.

Yes I know I've been searching ever since :(
On the upside, just bleached my bezel and it's gone a lovely bluish colour! Now where to get those lugs drilled out at ;))

    Show your Seikos.

Well I've retired my omega of ten years for a while to get a service and clean will ask about that soon , so after reading over a few threads here liked idea of modding my own seiko diver so hunting around for one to do

Anyway in meantime purchased this one and very happy with it for the price as had some vouchers for eBay so cost me £60 not sure on age but serial is 501693 model 7002-7001 but with custom pointers and new bezel.
Going to source a different strap also.

You know what... It was just one of those lucky shots where the light was right and the hand steady! Only using my Samsung Note 3 standing by a velux in my office:)

Wearing this today on bracelet... of course the change over is now simples.

So happy that this beautiful SQ only needed a battery. And sad that it didn't sit so well on my wrist. Good on you and thanks for keeping me posted:)

Had a bit of a play with a decent camera at the beach a few weeks back, nowhere near as good as other peoples pics but better than my usual iPhone attempts!

And this arrived recently, not sized the bracelet or set the time properly yet so will get a wrist shot at a later date, back to iPhone pics too!

That's interesting - please get some pics done in decent light! Crown at 12, asymmetric case, GMT in the sub-dial? Does the hour hand move in hour steps? And do you have a model number, please? Thanks!

Yeah sorry about the rubbish pics but it is the model in gentlemenpreferhats post above, subdial is for 24hours rather than GMT and the hour hand doesn't move in one hour steps. Sized it last night and it's very comfortable to wear although seeing the crown at the 12 o'clock position will take a bit of getting used to.
    Cracking lume though

XW 6309 mod . Think the bezel guard suits it.
