Yeah it was from eBay, couldn't pass it up when I seen it. Makes a change from my normal black faced divers. Only a 1000 made so shouldn't see too many about😁

That's the us limited edition isn't it? Wasn't a hodinkee edition, was also available direct from Seiko.

I think it was available only via Hodinkee eshop. But I can be wrong, of course.

That’s what I thought also, I think this one fetches a big premium over the green.

The blue looks better in your photo than I remember seeing elsewhere.

Just picked up this SLA021. Seiko obsession has taken hold in the last few weeks after picking up a couple of SKXs.

Wanted to try something from Seiko’s higher end offerings and the MM300 seemed perfect. Chunky for sure but wears very similarly to the SKX007 although it works better for me on the silicone strap. Currently running +5spd which I’m very happy with. The only irritation for me is the crown screw-in action which isn’t good enough for a £3k watch IMO, real care needed with locating the threads, the triplock on my Tudor Sub is leagues ahead.

Oh, best lume if any watch I’ve ever had too

I've had the SBDX017 and the SLA021 but both are gone. At some point I'll get another SLA021 or a newer equivalent if too much time goes by. Fantastic watches, only issue for me was how many winds the crown needs to set the time. Seems slow when setting the time.

I’ve had several of the earlier SBDX001 MM300 over the years but didn’t like the domed ‘Hardlex’ crystal & painted bezel. These new ones with the sapphire & ceramic could tempt me back :)

Last chance to show this one as it is off to its new keeper in Sweden. Sad to see it go after nearly 30 years , but it needs to be worn way more often than I ever did...

Haha the 700b on the jubilee is a new addition she hasn’t noticed.

Classic Seiko. Standard spring bars too thin for the lug holes, fat spring bars too wide for the rubber strap.

Still enjoying the hybrid Skx171/007 mod though. Back onto a nato it goes for now!

Yeah, sneaking a GMT in place of a Seiko Pepsi could go unnoticed I reckon

Might have to try that with my 009. Or a blue Eulit alternatively.

Think I’m getting a bit of a thing for Seiko at the moment. Two new arrivals this week......new 55th Anniversary LE Willard and a 7040 from 77.

Try Watchgecko. They do "skinny fat bars" to fit other makers straps to Siko divers. Bizarrely in sets of three, but cheap and very useful.

I've been looking at the Seiko SRP777 replacement all morning (SRPR93) which unfortunately isn't a King Turtle so doesn't have sapphire. This looks amazing on the old SBDX strap and has given me food for thought.

Edit: forgot it was £1.2k I somehow thought it was about £800!

Very nice indeed, and your strap choice is on the money for both. Is that a flat vent BC strap on the SLA?
