Just got this lovely 1979 example from SC, bought it as a gift for my brother but I think I'll hang on to it myself for a while! Not bad for £55.

Loving this little 50+ year old seikomatic. Vintage grand seiko vibes.

Does anyone have a green Sumo on a black rubber crafter blue buckle and tang strap? Interested to see how it fits and if it looks ok without spending £60 to see it in real life! Lots of pictures of the green strap but not the black. Thanks.

I've had this a few years, any thoughts on whether it is too big on my wrist? I'm considering a Grand Seiko purchase, possibly a watch of similar proportions....

Apologies, I’m not familiar with this model. It looks like a watch that’s meant to look bold and large, with large numerals on the bezel and a relatively busy dial. It also gives the impression of being tall in the picture.

As to wether it’s too big for YOUR wrists, it’s a matter of personal taste. Technically, the lugs seem to fall within the boundaries of your wrist but it does give the impression above. I imagine it looks large based on its design, rather than its proportions, if that makes any sense

Thanks for your views on that.

I think the watch model is SSC021.

I'm thinking about buying a grand seiko sbge201, the dimensions of which are even bigger than this thing...

Just received and must get a bracelet for it.
    Liking the feel of it.

    My vintage Seiko 6106.

Got it for a song on eBay many years ago. For some reason it doesn't get much wrist time and during my recent cull, I considered selling it but it looks practically unworn and if I had to find another, I doubt I'd get one in this condition.

    Blue Mini Turtle SRPC39K1

On a George’s Straps elastic NATO. Very comfy and a great match. Didn’t like the watch on the supplied black rubber or even on the same rubber in blue from Seiko (wrong shade). This is a great combo and has brought the watch back onto my wrist!

Now with the MM300 clasp. The MM300 clasp is smaller so needed a link putting back on for me but now fits perfectly and I should be able to leave the house without regretting it 20 minutes later. £90 well spent and I think it's Diashield treated too.

    SBDC109 "Captain Willard"

Had this one for a few days now, very pleased with the quality, look and the timekeeping (almost spot on with some overnight positional variation). Came on the bracelet which is ok but could be a better fit at the end lugs.
Looks good on the rubber but a NATO is the most comfortable is this hot weather. I like the size a little smaller than my Turtle.

The lugs are very cool. Reminds me of the omega PO/speedy lugs.

    Arrived today

Picked up on US forum last week.

    Parts list:
36mm oyster-style case, screw down back & crown, with 20mm lugs
    Seiko NH35 movement
    Namoki explorer dial
    Namoki mercedes hands
    GS Thin-Tite acrylic crystal
    20-16mm jubilee bracelet

Wants to try a 36mm.. seems tiny compared to speedmaster which is my daily at the moment. Good chance I'll be passing this along if anyone has any interest

Was posted last Friday arrived today

With YouTube and the right tools the bracelet wasn’t so difficult as the internet had led me to believe.

The case profile is stunning (and also beyond my skills to capture well)

Most beautifully blue dial diver in the market.

Also for me with Strapcode Jubilee strap.

If you are interested I published a comparison thread between the Marine Master 300 blue and the original heavy steel Stowa Prodiver:
