Thanks Chris.. I've been on the hunt for a LONG time for this one and stumbled on it in the edge of a photo of another 7A28 I was buying! Chanced my arm... and turns out it was one he was thinking of selling! Sometimes it pays to ask!

Well, I'll say its a BIG part you played and thanks again for the work done to it. Just need to source myself some links or a full bracelet... and I'll have myself a really nice set.

Fairly new to me, obtained from Billy (Thorien) recently and now on the StrapCode SJ bracelet with MM300 clasp, perfect for summer.

Well if Rolex can get away with sloppy GMT hands on nearing a 10k watch then Seiko can just throw on bezels from across the room

    My Seiko SCVS003

Picked this up from this very forum a few years back when I first joined.

It’s got a better bracelet than the later SARB models in my opinion and I think it’s my favourite Seiko of the ones I own.

Agreed about the bracelet. It's a very appealing design.

    I've got a SCVS003 as well. :-)

They are quite rare I think, certainly more than the SARBs.

They seem to be a great size and wear really well, I just need to find me a green Alpinist to give it some company!

Well, they made new with sapphire crystal, 70+ hrs movement and smaller letters on bezel (non ceramic) but the letter style on "old" Sumo for me was one of the things this watch was most recognizable...
...btw, the crown on new one is not signed any more?!unkonwn why...all together, almost double the price is a no-go 4 me

Just a cheap quartz but a nice beater I think. The Seiko SNN233P1. It's not produced any more but I was lucky to find one on Creation. The lume is very good and the bracelet is surprisingly nice for a Seiko! I had to remove a link and it took me a few moments before I realised the link pins were split pins. I am used to screw in link pins! However it was easily sorted. I suspect the finish on the bracelet will mark easily but it has a nice weighty feel to it. Very pleased.

Sorry for the late reply yes this is a Thai market limited edition Zimbe version. I believe all are sold out. They did a yellow dial version as well.

Correct. I use the countdown for cooking and the second time zone to check when it's cool to ring Chicago.

Bought this 'Limited Edition' a few weeks ago, It came on the thick nato, Does anyone know what Seiko consider 'Limited'? As it doesn't seem to say on the watch or in the standard paperwork!, Could be a limited run of five million!!

    Cheers, John

Not the best pic, but 14 and counting, with some dupes. Used to pick some up on each visit to Japan from the great second hand shops in Nakano. Time to have a clear out and cull many of them. As soon as SC is open to me, I'll post better pics and offer them.

Recent 7009 pick-up, love these vibrant blue dialled Seiko's (not original bracelet, found it in my parts drawer, but suits it well) case still has crisp edges (1979)

Not on it's original bracelet, but it does have the correct SQ clasp, I think it matches the watch very nicely.

I'm trying this on a big hole Tropic for holiday purposes. I tried the 'Isofrane' but managed to split the lug rubber forcing the fat bars through

    So far, so good

Changed the bracelet to a rubber strap on the SBBN031 and it looks pretty good and it's comfortable

Also a new addition from the forum

Have to say after wanting one for a long time, and I have to say I am not disappointed so far, carries the weight well. SBDX001.
