    Love the MM handset!
I am also having a fairly big mod on a full Turtle as we speak..... well excited - but nothing to show here for a week or so at least (sorry).

Very much so. The white hands are more legible than the polished skx hands now.

Having been a fan of the Oris Big Pilot I picked up this Seiko alternative which is surprisingly versatile and, for my rapidly failing eyesight, very legible.

Here on its bracelet, TF grey nato and a Di Modell Jumbo:

Well I have to admit I *very very* rarely go for jumbo size watch nowadays but 47 years earlier I ‘m diving in it ;)

This beauty remains among the ones in my collection on which I can look at during long minutes without remembering what time it is ;)

    Sportsmatic Silverwave.
There were 6 variants of Silverwave from 1961 to 1965. The black dial 30m Sportsmatic is the most elusive of them all.
The Silverwave was the first Seiko to feature the Tsunami caseback. It was reintroduced on divers in 1975 on the 6159-7010, then on successive divers ever since.

This one just arrived (sbbn033). I have always been afraid of the size but as others have said it wears smaller than expected.

I wore this yesterday- for a watch over 35 years old it’s just fantastic- it’s been sat at the back of my bedside draw for ages and decided when I did the time change to give it an outing
When my old dad saw it he asked it was a new watch

6139-7010 from February 1970. I believe this is the only 6139 chrono to have Arabic numerals.

That looks good. Was considering one of these as I've been looking for a simple solar watch. Shame it is too big for me. I got quite annoyed that here is are so few options under 40mm.

You lucky man, that is really lovely. I have recently been finding out about Silverwaves as I saw a later quartz model for sale and took a fancy to these first ones. They played an interesting part in the whole Seiko diver story.

The Silverwave preceded the 62mas and was more of a snorkelling watch rather than a diver. It has taken several years, but I have managed to accumulate all 6 Silverwave variants. Here's a 1963 Seikomatic 50m Silverwave, and a hard to read (even out of the water) sunburst dial version:
