Haven't worn this one for a long while, but I still think it's a great watch.

When I got it it was a bit a forum favourite, but you rarely see them these days.

My first TZ-UK SC purchase some years ago. Passed into disuse and then was serviced and regulated a month ago. Now running v well as is its timekeeping. For a 1970s watch in the 21st century it’s holding its head up proudly.

Great looking. I haven’t worn mine yet. Still concerned about the size. Doesn’t really feel smaller on the wrist like most say.

    Thanks!
Personally I think they wear great for such a large diameter watch,

While a similar dial, yours is the later twin quartz watch, mine being a 1977 4843 based single quartz one.
I got mine, as a non working, bare watch head from a seller in Japan for the gloriously low price of $83 . Like you I would love to have the original GQ signed bracelet, but for the time being I have 'requisitioned' an almost identical one from a JDM QZ in my collection, and fitted it to the watch. after getting the movement running.

A recent fixer upper project watch, completed today. 1993 7T32-6D90. It was sold as not working - but just had a seized case back. New battery, case clean-up and a NOS strap and it's good as new! Still mesmerised by the whirring hands on the 6 o'clock 2nd timezone and alarm.

Many thanks, scrubs up well for a 41 year old watch doesn't it? Mind you it was 100,000 Yen in 1977.....

Just finished this one. Case and bracelet refinish and a new crystal. Just waiting for a new pepsi bezel insert to arrive, and it’ll be done.

This lovely 8222-8000 manufactured in August 1981 just arrived in genuine NOS condition. It's absolutely delightful and the perfect size for me. A great nostalgia trip too as I had what I remember to be an identical watch in the early 80's in school but it's vanished along with an old Seiko digital I had too back then.

    Cheers
    Neil

May I ask what model that is Seikomatic? I don't normally go for dressy watches but love the look of that.

SARB065 Cocktail time. It's discontinued but replaced with a model with an inferior movement. You can till find the sarb online last time I checked. I have one and it's beautiful.

Pretty affordable too I see. Is the 6R15 movement the one to go for? Very tempted.

    That’s pretty funny.

Did you go stealth, or like me announce loudly “look at that” to the Mrs while pointing the phone up! She enjoyed that as a few people looked up expecting to see something interesting. I got “what?” Then very quickly... “really!” as she clocked the Seiko logo.
