Initial thought is what a great watch for the money. I think Seiko have really done an excellent job. May well look at getting the "golden" too on the back of this one.
Wears very well, light too. Great strap. Blue colour is different from the usual black, with nice wave black dial. I much prefer this style of hands to the new ones.
    Sorry for crappy photo.

Is this not Marinemaster? It looks like them but there is no Marinemaster text on the dial.

As far as I know, it's basically the Marinemaster with a few changes such as the text, bezel and crystal. And more expensive.

    This 7546-6040A.....

Bought as a non runner with a badly corroded movement......

A rather tatty 7546 dress watch donated its pristine movement to give it new life....

Should have my '84 6309-7040 back next week.
Started like this with a/m dial and hands.

And thank to Bodo now looks like this:

Now with refurbed/re-lumed Hong Kong dial, re-lumed hands, new crown, crystal and a movement service.
Got a new bezel insert to go on too when I get it back.

Here’s my Seiko collection as of August 2018. Otherwise still have a handful of other brands, but gradually selling them off to focus on Seiko.
Oldest is my late grandfather’s 1977 SQ4004 with the brown sunburst dial, scratched to bits but still keeping accurate time. I changed the capacitor on the kinetic some years ago to rechargeable battery, and changed the crystal to a yobokies sapphire on the Turtle - but will never delve inside the Spring Drive Tuna or my latest arrival, the Grand Seiko GMT.
Not shown is my wife’s titanium kinetic & daughter’s kinetic 200m Pepsi diver.

Great collection. I can see the sense with having a Seiko only collection, they do every style at every price point so well! Would love to see the Spring Drive Tuna.

How do you find owning this and the 126600. Both still have a role or does the 126600 end up being the default choice ?
Am thinking about one but with an SLA17 and a 126600 I am not sure this would get worn.

Great photo. Funnily enough I took a similar (although no way near as good) photo the other day.
