I am constantly looking at it, makes me smile. It looks amazing at night too with twilight seems iridescent almost.

I'm also thinking of trading up for a Snowflake spring drive GS or the GS spring drive Diver at some point. Oh decisions decisions. The Rolex Milgauss gets the chop.

One thing that stumps me is why the bolt on the crown side is at 15 instead of 10, which would mirror the other side and also the 300m Tunas. (The original golden Tunas had the bolts at 5, 25, 35 and 55 I think.)
Anyone know if the Golden Solar Tuna is a limited edition?

Another pic of the orange turtle. This is a crazy amount of watch for the money. It's IMHO on par with the Doxa Professional with the exception of the bracelet (but the Seiko is born to be worn on the accompanying rubber strap).

Does look great on the blue rubber strap. Like the sunburst dial. Not so sure about the magnifier though....

  16. #4966
Probably my favorite dial of any watch that I own.

A 'few' here, just some of the pre-1979 quartz analogue ones...........

Favourites either this cal. 3803, my earliest from 1972 :-

    or this 3003 from 1976:-

Though this is probably my favourite mechanical one:-

It was too weighty for me Mick but I couldn’t fault the watch for quality.

Nice range of Seiko in my local jewellers this morning.
Surprised to see how compact the solar gold tuna is - really nice, I could probably get away with it on my skinny wrist too.

I used to have one of these and regret selling it. Think I sold it for some ridiculously low price as well.

Unusual SRPB32 Super Compressor style thing. I normally hate rose gold, but this really works for me! 4R36 inside.

That's very cool. I love how with the Seiko 5 range you can essentially get any type of watch you want. Once my little boy is old enough I plan to have him choose from my collection and then buy a similarly styled one from the Seiko 5 range.

AFAIK it has no official Seiko model number.
It is most often referenced as ”Dime MD edition” since it was made in 50 pcs exclusively for a japanese lifestyle magazine called Dime or Dime MD, this is also stated on the case back.

Saw one of these on the forum recently and had to have it. The Save the Ocean special edition Turtle. Absolutely loving the graduated blue face and black edging to the bezel with black crown.
