Just tinkered with this one to replace bubble boy with flat AR coated sapphire and forced patina Pepsi insert.

Thanks it is an improvement over the bubble boy on this watch.

I have some used original 6309 mineral crystals same fit as 7548. Not scratched or chipped but some very minor blemishes... depends if you want [excuse the pun] a crystal clear new one or an original part.

My second post on this thread.

Never gets worn much and I'm always thinking of letting it go but it's only been tonight revisiting this thread that I've realised that it's just cool.
So, it'll never be sold..........but I really want a vintage tuna...

I really like that - looks like it could have been designed by Gerald Genta's Japanese cousin.
    In the Sotadic Zone, apparently.

From 1982 and given to me for my 18th birthday. It originally came on a two-tone strap, but for some reason that eats spring pins. It sat in a box for over 10 years, then picked up and hasn't missed a beat since getting a battery in it for my wedding in 2012.

Pretty bog-standard 5. It's the first automatic I've owned and it's all this watch's fault that I'm now spending most of my money and all of my time on watches.

Thanks, its from 1972 and has a sapphire with AR. Think its a nice improvement. Was rather lucky, as the guy really needed to sell, still i accepted his bit steepish price as i wanted it :)

Don't take this the wrong way because it's a nice watch but with so many aftermarket parts you may as well have bought a new PRS-68 from our host.

I hope it was described to you correctly and you haven't paid over the odds... that's all.

    Thanks here'a another pic:

The amazing thing I love about it, is the colour of the dial changes from cream to almost silver in different lighting.

    The back looks good to!

And the detail on the dial is stunning close up:

This doesnt really appeal to me..

Ye, was described allright, and when i quickchecked other sale threads i dont think i overpaid much really. All original 6105s are very rare to find, but im being told they sell at TZ at 300-600 gbp which would be a killer deal if that was an authentic sale

That's cool... a good original case with new aftermarket parts is still closer to an all original than most get :-) That is the beauty of these models on one hand - that they can be brought back to life quickly if train wrecks. But it can also be an issue for the purists. There's room for everyone here thankfully.

Could you guys please help me in how to size this seiko jubilee bracelet? See pics of what i got

Also, it appears that im having the watch on shoulderless bars, does that mean i have to cut them in half to be able to fit a new bracelet? The jubilee also came with shoulderless bars, so changing a bracelet / rubber strap means new springbars everytime??

Sorry misread your post dont really know about cutting the spring bars, but it's a doddle if you want to remove the links you see that little round hole? Sorry that's the only way to describe it!
Push a pen down the hole and try an push it out slightly, then push from the arrow out in the same direction, and out the little blighter comes :-)
Forgive me if you know this already.

You'll need to cut the spring bars as you said... And if you want strap bracelet changes to be simple then I would get some standard seiko fat bars or better double flanged with same diameter tips.

Actually not to complicate matters but if the lug holes are worn you might be better with larger than standard diameter tips! Or they may be a bit loose and wear even more over time.

new daily wearer in the house....

...a bit like a Swatch. Adds some colour to the humdrum, but is also like one of my favourites...the Tuna. Perfect size too.

Nothing to special, just a 007… but won from a little competition on this very forum! I wear it at work (change when I get in from the watch I'm wearing that week) as its already nicely bash and another few won't hurt!

From no watches to a second watch in as many weeks! At this rate it shall not be long before Mrs B has a sense of humour failure

That's a corker! Now you just need a Land Rover to accessorize it with.
