It's on the rubber now I'll give it another try when I have the bracelet back on, thanks.

Brand new. Happy out. Seller had got it with variation of the watch and never wore

Colour match is perfect..the coating gives a watch a slightly different shade of silver than normal
Very cool. I'll be interested to see how it compares to standard steel over time. Future forum thread idea right there!

I did open it yesterday but it wasn't very obvious and it was tricky to close so I'm almost afraid to try again

Only arrived today and just sized it but initial impressions are good. The dial is lovely and it seems to wear smaller than 41mm. Slight disappointment that the crown isn't screw down and the bracelet uses split pins but overall it is very nice.

Funny little Arctura kinetic I picked up on FB marketplace. Fitted a new capacitor, ticking away happily. Have ordered a NOS 19mm bracelet which isn't original, but will look the part, I hope.

    Show your Seikos.

    The new king turtle

Looks black there, it’s dark olive green thought and looks great. The gold text and second hand are a nice detail too.

Yeah I thought as much, I guess it's possible to replace the crystal if it really bothered you.

    Can!t go wrong.

In my opinion, you can`t go wrong with a Seiko, I have a 1979 Turtle 6309-7040 and a Tuna myself.

    Same watch, different light.
It is incredibly difficult to capture what this dial really looks like!

That’s a shame, I thought this had been sorted out. Luckily my past two have watches have been fine.

    Seiko 6139-8030

"The 6139 is Seiko’s first automatic chronograph movement. It is a single register chronograph, with a 30 minute counter, no continuous seconds and a quickset day-date display. It was produced from 1969 until around 1979.

    That's a pretty little thing.

I might as well drop this pic in here, too - new to me, and £85.

    6106-8100 - Seiko's First Diver - but only 70m Proof
    1969
    38mm
case in really good condition, as is dial and hands
all bezel inserts seem to be like that

Images do not do it justice - better in the flesh
original dial could not be saved but I managed to pick up an original dial from the US and Guy J serviced the watch and fitted the replacement parts
    another early Seiko saved

trying to identify what the original strap would have been

maybe the white balance is wrong on the image, the BG should be white!!

I had never been into Seiko watches in the past but picked up an SKX007 and loved it. The 6309 arrived the other day too.
