I've managed to land a Beams limited edition also which is inbound so I'm pretty sure that means I'll have owned all variants lol. What would be ideal is if they re released the the SLA017 but with the same build quality as the SLA037/043. That would be just about perfect

Mine will stay in Thailand for the forseeable (at least until I can travel there). I guess I'd need to understand what the VAT rules are on bringing something back to the UK on what is (by then) 1 year old pre owned watch but in theory if you were importing into the UK from new you could claim the Thai VAT back (7%) on that £4.2k and then pay the UK VAT

Just looked that model up and I much prefer it on those straps to the original bracelet. I think nato is my favourite.

My lucky Friday 13th eBay win turned up this morning. My first 6105 and so far I’m loving it. The way the case curves around your wrist is stunning. nos crystal ordered and a tyre tread strap, then off for a service.

Not going to put up a pic yet, but I just got a cracking deal on a Miltat Engineer II bracelet with the solid end links for an SKX009.

    Very impressed.

I'm waiting on a ceramic pepsi bezel before I show it off in its full glory.

    [drums fingers impatiently]

Apropos the query about paying VAT when importing a watch. If you _wear_ the watch through customs you won't have to pay duty on it. That's why you often see women wearing ostentatious jewellery when flying.

Wherever did you hear this? If you're wearing a watch and don't declare it, then you are subsequently stopped by a customs official, the watch will be confiscated and you'll receive a large fine and a criminal record.

A guy on TRF tried this and it didn't work out well for him or his girlfriend. I wouldn't recommend it either way.

Got this back on my wrist after a brief hiatus
Picked up a few weeks ago from SC, shortly afterwards I noticed a speck of dust under the crystal which once seen I couldn't ignore.

Very impressed with Service from Seiko UK, I made an online enquiry and they said to sent it in, regarding timescales I was quoted 'Please note watches are currently taking approximately 7 working days to book onto the system and approximately 4 - 6 weeks for repairs to be completed once the work has been proceeded subject to parts availability'

I posted my watch on the 11th and it was returned /delivered to me today, all sorted. Very happy with Seiko service all around (and glad to have it back)
