Just found a Save Ocean at a price point I could not refuse. What a dial on this watch. Unbelievable value.

I bought the Samurai version in 2018 and it’s rarely off my wrist. The dial is awesome
And £374?? from Spain was a bargain. Image1614373405.709204.jpg

    My 6206 8040 (November 1965) Weekdater:

    A lovely movement in this:

Not bad for a 55 year old watch. :)

Thank you, I think the word cobby was designed for this watch.

Thank you, it's a lovely example, the BOR bracelet is original to the watch.

I even have the original box and settings instruction book.

Added a blue Uncle Seiko waffle to get and get the blue bezel to show a bit more. Seems to do the trick.

Does anyone know if Seiko do a 20mm blue waffle strap? I've added a genuine Seiko buckle and keeper but would love a blue waffle OEM strap but can't find one.

Have you had a look at the oem rubber strap on the blue dialed SLA series?

I did, but it's 19mm so won't look right on the 20mm gap. It's also £205 but I think I would spend that if it was the right size.

    Oh my bad!
What about the blue rubber sold with the Spb149? Not a waffle but looks fairly nice and definitely is 20mm

They're online for about £60 and I'm tempted but really do like the waffle.

My daughter’s home from working overseas for the last year, I’ve just replaced the Maxell rechargeable cell in her birth-year ‘97 SKJ003 that she wears as her regular watch - energy reserve had dropped off to a day or two, now back to proper working order.

Are there any less expensive rubber straps (than the Crafter Blue) with fitted ends for the Sumo? I wear an old Sumo as my daily and like the look but the price is a off putting even though I realise they're a quality item and fit.

I’ve got four, one was my fathers and it’s waiting for a new capacitor to arrive. Here are the others. Non of them are special or collectible. Well two of them, can’t find a photo of the SNK.

Postie delivered a new Hirsch Robby strap for my recently acquired SBP053...suits it perfectly; well, I think it does!

Still love the way the light plays on the dial and bezel, inky black to electric blue.
