Grandads 7t32 chrono. Bought when I was about 1 year old. I still have the jingly-jangly bracelet but prefer it on this Nato.

Probably a once in a lifetime purchase arrived yesterday. A NOS, never worn Seiko 7548 from 1984 complete with a bit of dust and a hair on top of the crystal.

    Wow what a find, a NOS 7548!
Would love to add that to my collection and it appears harder to find the SQ version of this and I mostly seem to see the water resist versions.

    Cheers

    Thanks guys.

You'll find that the water resist version of the black dial and bezel 7548 is the Japanese home market model. This one is a UK model.

I have both in my collection.

    The NOS 7548 beside a NOS 7c43.

Lovely watches David , they’re addictive.

    7C43 and a 7548-7010 “transitional”.

A nice pair. What a pity the 6306 doesn't have it's original bezel insert but it looks good.

I purchased Bry's 7c43 off SC a few days ago. It just needed a little TLC. It arrived this morning. A day off so I've been busy this past few hours.

A full case refinish ( including the circular brushed case top), a new 7c43 crystal, an original 7c43 bezel insert, an adjustment of the bezel click springs, the chapter ring realigned, new gaskets and now it's looking great (even with dust on top of the crystal).

    Before......

    After.....

The black SRPE was a bit boring, so I had to get a green one too. The chapter ring is slightly misaligned, and Im trying really hard to not care. Well see how that goes

Uncle Seikos president bracelet with a milled clasp came back into stock a while back, and I cant recommend it enough. Its solid, pretty, and supremely comfortable.

Misalignment seems to be the name of the game with Seiko. Which is why I wont be buying another sadly - too many properly put together watches at the prices Seiko is now asking

Love that. Id have absolutely no need for a compass bezel, but when does that stop us watch folk wanting something.

Youre very right, and I keep thinking that I should just stay away. Seiko make some incredible watches at very decent prices, but the QA gamble is too annoying. There are a couple of mid-range watches I cant get out of my head, and I might just abandon the Seikos for them.

  23. #8323
I might break my vow with the new 5 GMT - but only if I can buy from a bricks and mortar store. Their QC is so haphazard Id rather pay a few pounds more for a decent example!

It is indeed a 41. There is a high chance that it was yours as its origins are from this forum and there are only 200 in existence. I got it to replace my blue MM300 but you know how it is I still own the blue MM300:)

It’s been a while since I’ve had a Seiko diver, so really enjoying this Tuna that I’ve just picked up on SC. I was half expecting it to be far too big, but very pleasantly surprised at how compact it is.

This arrived earlier this week via SC. A Seiko Tuna 7549 6010 from 1983.

It arrived with a Seiko rubber strap but I prefer it on a Nato. It’s in really good condition considering it’s 39-years-old.

That looks great, Gavbaz! Ive been lusting after one of those since I first saw it, but cant decide between it and an SPB149. Finally kicked the idea of a blue BB58, and a blue Seiko may be the answer.

Thank you. I do fancy the 311 to go with it. Owned the blue BB58 a couple of times, prefer this by far.
