Is this a watch that you have to see in the 'metal' to absolutely appreciate it? I'm seriously considering an SBBN Quartz 300m variant but the import costs are a little off putting.

It's between this and an Oris depth gauge for me.

My Turtle, only recently found these were out there. Always wanted an original but the second hand ones were not really worth the money so I was very pleased at a re-issue at a decent price.

I really appreciate all generations of Tunas, preference between old/new can vary day to day. They’re all good!

Yes but that is probably true for most watches.
Perhaps you will have a chance to look at them IRL at the London boutique sometime?

The Emperor is the largest/chunkiest of them all so this one wears more compact.
My wrist is a little shy of 8”,

Real step up in Quality compared to my other seiko divers, love the design and the rubber strap is very soft.

Big fan of the blue version of this, especially when the bezel gives off the green hue.

Thanks Andrew. Yes, it’s one of those watches that photos just don’t do justice to. It’s different in every light.

Thanks for another photo Chris, much appreciated.
You are right, it looks different again, yet equally superb. Keep enjoying.

Thanks, must be the one watch I’ve ever owned that’s actually appreciated in value.

Recently acquired a nice 7548-7010 "transitional" from 1985. Pictured here on the left next to the model that replaced it , the 7C43.

    Cheers
