Hmm, don't need steady hands! just get the paint in the gaps and protect the black markers with painters tape or something. Then let dry, the paint will be all over the bezel. Take a kitchen pad and use the 'scrape'side, the green and then get the paint from the bezel. The paint will remain in the markers. It IS important to use good quality paint, I used the tiny cans for hobby builds from the toy store. The most problem I had with it, was the paint between the crystal and the bezel, which I noted after I made picture(!) With wooden tooth picks (or snack picks, whatever you use it for) it was a lot of work to get it all out. To make sure, make a couple of other pictures and then you'll notice where you left more! I actually enjoyed it, with this watch. I sold my Neo Monster as I used it's red hand (swapped), and thought therefore I remove the red from the bezel and paint it black. So it looked more like a standard black "monster", but that paint was very old and horrible, as it took a long time, before it dried and it did not stick very well. I sold the watch outside of forums

^^^ Thanks for the notes on technique. I have occasionally been tempted to pain the bezel on some of my Monsters.

(And yes, to anyone who's wondering, I still haven't forgotten about the comparative bracelet thing I said I'd do).

Mine is French. Does yours have a Z199 bracelet or is it a standard Jubilee?

    DRUNKEN MASTER

this is the perfect thread to post my newly arrived and conceived seiko!!!!

I just snatched it from customs who were holding it in ransom for 15 million drakmas...

anyway, it's my interpretation of the neo classic retro skx a la tudor not the black bay, the other one I can't remember,
    but different.

    ok, here's a pic:

    sexy eh?

I will now prepare a proper thread about it....

    ciao

This cracking little SBCM023 arrived today ,slightly smaller than I'm used to but it's a lovely thing. Here seen with its older (30 years older) counterpart the venerable 7548.

    Cheers

    and my other seikos.....

    a couple I have inherited,
both from the 1969 catalog, most probably bought by my grandad in the us when he was working on big boats like the titanic,

    he bought this for himself

and this for his son in law (my dad)

then I have my modern version of my grandad's seiko, the sarb035

    see the heritage?

    right!

then one solar just because it is a chrono diver beater and is only worno sleeveless because it ìs too huge for me

then the kinetic diver my girlfriend gave me when we were little

used to be my beater but then the battery thing has died and is yet to be replaced, I have watched a tutorial, so, almost convinced to do this myself

    and then my latest arrival

oh well you just saw it some posts back!

and finally the one that started the whole seiko appreciation thing, for which I thank Rob for swapping it with me ages ago!

was original at the time of the swap, then got me modding...

    I've a few other kinetic divers, but here is an absolute fave and one bought from this very forum! New glass fitted, running like a dream;

I could keep going all day, I have about 30 Seikos at the moment, but those are the pick of the bunch.

Oh, and a Pogue on the way - my first one (never been a huge fan to be honest) so watch this space.[/QUOTE]

Have to ask, is the strap at the six position correct way round, as the tsunami symbol appears to be on the inside of the strap, strange.

Wanted one of these for several years. Got one, took me a while to adjust to it as I was underwhelmed initially. Strangely (but thankfully) I no absolutely love it

I didn't want to spoil his sales thread but that

FS: Vintage Seiko 6159-7001 on SC

has to be one of the nicest watches i have ever seen, it's pure design class I would choose it over a similar sub.

I have the original second hand but it needs a relume along with the dial and hands, but I'll live with it like this for a while.

Not sure TBH. That strap was on the watch when I received it.
I unpacked it and took a few pics, then immediately put it on an Isofrane.
