My favourite word in Seiko land is PROOF, so here's a couple of desirable Proof/Proof 6138-0010 UFO's recently returned from full movement service by Duncan. Both from May 1970.... A JDM Speedtimer and a rest of world Chronograph:

This arrived today from Toddy, a Seiko SKX399. Very happy to finally have a Seiko diver with square markers and the metal surrounds on the markers add something special.

Have always loved the deep Matt grey dial colour Seiko uses on the SKX007 and this one for example.

Tried to date it and it should be from 2001 or 2011 so my guess is 2001.

Tuna SBBN040. Good 10mm bigger than my other watch, but honestly it doesn’t wear any different at all. Weights the same too :).

That looks very similar to the SNE329P9 - is it 43mm as well?

If you are referring to my watch/post it is a mod with an original Seiko bezel.
    Watch is a SRP779 with a bezel from a SRPA19K, ”Zimbe” turtle.

    My First Seiko...

.. arrived at the beginning of the month but I've only just had a chance to take some photos.

For some reason it seems popular to photograph watches with fruit so here is my interpretation to show what happens when the dial catches the light:

    , on Flickr

She is in pretty good nick for her age although she is gaining about 25s a day but I can live with that. Not sure if the bracelet is original but it does have Seiko on the clasp. I love the Presmatic button, very convenient (does anybody make anything similar at the moment?)

The only thing that bugs me is that stain on the hour hand but I expect that that can be sorted out.

This is a handmade strap in ostrich feet ordered at xamlam strap (Maxime Peyrache) initially for a SARX055 (that I’m selling now the GS has arrived ;) )

This is a 6138-8020, commonly known as a Panda. The Panda is one of the best looking and most popular 6138's.
This particular watch was made in 1977.
