    Hi :-)
the watch is dated from 1964. I have serviced it a few months ago. I ask watchmaker to change the hesalite and i have keep the original with a few scratches (check photo 6).
It's manual winding and the feeling during that is great. It give me the same feeling like some old pocket watches. 19mm lugs and 36mm case. It keeps correct time (+15sec/24hours) the same timekeeping like before service. Power reserve is almost 2 days.
Seiko Champion 850 is in the same watch line with Seiko Champion 850 Alpinist, the ancestor of today Alpinist (SARB 017). Actually, they have the same movement. For more information about seiko alpinist please look here http://thespringbar.com/seiko-alpini...lectors-guide/
In the above link you can find photo's of the movement from Seiko Champion 850 Alpinist
Below you can see a few today photo's. I was trying to open the case back for take photo's of the movement but i manage to put some scratch at the case back, so i give up. Maybe i will go to my watchmaker for open the caseback and take some photo's. When i will do that, i will post photo's of the movement. I must to inform you that the movement from my Champion is in pristine contition (it's new). In the photo's below you can see some distortion caused by hesalite crystal.

    Best regards Dear Sir
    micmic

PS sorry for my poor English. I hope you can understund what i mean

Been wearing my SRP777 almost exclusively since I got it, but with the sunshine over the last few days I thought I'd get this one on the wrist again. I'd forgotten just how great it is

    On a blue nato atm.

I've dug this Brightz model out for the last few days.
I bought it in Japan in 2012 and I've never seen another since, not even on a forum!
It's not particularly special, but it does ooze quality.
It has the 6r21 movement found in a few GS and Ananta models and a very nice feel about it.
The dial is wonderfully glossy and the purple power reserve stripe really shines in some lights.
Don't see this one ever going...

Here's the 5 I bought recently as a beater – cheap, and that dial lends military a flavour helped along today by the postman delivering this grey 19mm NATO:

Crackin' Spork photo, I love mine

Never understood why they stopped making it, it's just about the perfect combo for me.

5106-900 from November 1967. It'll be off to Cannop in a couple of weeks to bring it back to its former glory

Currently seen here fitted with an Emperor Nouveau strap, but there's an 18mm black Hirsch Duke in the post to me at the moment. The original bracelet is complete but filthy and I could probably do with an extra link or two (which might be hard to find) so it may have to stay on leather.

You might have seen this elsewhere, but it's the first Seiko I've bought new in a while

Initially it seemed a bit small, but it actually wears pretty well and I'm very pleased with it!

    Some Seikos

Seiko SARB on brown cordovan strap

Seiko high beat chronometer on blue Rios alligator grain strap

Seiko SUS GMT on black cordovan strap

    Seiko 009 jubilee bracelet

Seiko Turtle re-edition black and gold on Italian rubber strap

I found the bracelet for the new Turtle while a decent enough bracelet (reminded me a bit of the SARB bracelet other than the divers extension clasp) It was too heavy and weighed down the watch. Strap I got was from Watch Gecko and is very comfortable on this watch. I have not found the bezel problems that have been well documented on the Turtle but I understand that for some reason they are not as common on the black and gold versions.

I dug this out of a drawer last weekend when I went out to do some gardening. It was a daily wearer of mine 2003-2015 so I am quite attached to it, even if I no longer wear it.

Very nice. I hummed and harred about a similar Seiko on eBay a while back. I thought I liked the shape but wasn't sure enough to buy it. ;-)

Good strap choice too. Suits it.

Recently got this, need a new strap (have the original, don't like and on a z-22 now that don't fit...) but otherwise great watch for the price I paid :-)

Lovely dial, nice finish. Big though at 48mm...

Seiko Skx007 - my first 'proper' watch and the watch that has me hooked on finding my next one with this as my reliable beater.
