    Show your Seikos.

I am on site this morning so a good cheap robust beater watch for the day.

A reliable watch is essential for drinking tea and telling everyone what to do.

A favourite that I bought this in the mid 1980s.

I pick this (or the old Seiko quartz chrono) over the SKXs and other mechanical trinkets these days #heresy

I've been through an unknown number of Seiko divers since being on here, from Sumo's to MM300's and all models in-between. Now down to just 2 - but to me a very special 2. The 50th and 55th anniversary models - Emperor Tuna and 1968 Recreation. Both with undecorated GS movements, both monocoque cases and both here to stay! for me about as good as Seiko gets.

Seiko makes fantastic dials, I give them that for sure ...

Is it brown, green, gray or all together? Is it the angle, the light play...?

Stunning watch, incredible dial, and hopefully a keeper

    Haha, thought you’d recognise it.

Didn’t think it’d be for me but I’m admiring it in the evening sun while waiting for my oldest to finish rugby training and I’m really quite taken with it

Forgotten how much I liked this case style. Might need to track the padi version down too

There's a lovely SLA023 on there at the moment... just saying.

They are a special watch. I'd worn mine for a month since buying it, thought I'd dig out the Explorer for a change. That lasted a day, back to the MM300. They really are worth a try if the financial stars align, the quality is tangible.

That’s a really lovely pair. I’ve got a similar but different duo - the 68 recreation from 2018 and the 40th anniversary 78 Tuna.

The 68 is the nicest Seiko I’ve ever owned. The monocoque case, the finishing, the dial, the Hi Beat movement it’s just a beautiful watch.

Sheffield is a great Uni city, congrats on graduating and on your upgrade

Just received belatedly as a Birthday present to myself. Always wanted to try the Shogun, although need to see if I can live with the titanium.
Added a titanium MM300 ratchet clasp for more utility.

Completely agree about the 68. It’s in a different league to any other Seiko I’ve had (or any other brand to be honest!)

Both are fantastic modern divers. I have a similar pair, both put a smile on my face every time I wear them.
