I've never understood wearing a monster on anything other than it's own bracelet. So wrong.

This one came on Z20 rubber strap, so it took me a while to source a period correct bracelet with the right code. It certainly transforms the watch!

By Seiko standards, it's actually a pretty good bracelet! A well designed bit of metal and looks great despite the lack of end links. Enjoy!

Have to admit the razor wire looks good but for me it has to be the Z199.

    7002

Not original, however works like a little tank. I love how it wears a tiny bit smaller than an SKX.

I could see that is not original as the hands almost match the indices.

The 7002 movement is fantastic though. Under appreciated in my opinion.

if it is the 7548 model that the General wore, then I think the "Stormin Norman" is the 700F - the model with the SQ symbol above Divers 150 and with the suwa symbol next to the date rectangle. i.e it is a different (later), dial to your watch

I stand corrected Bill, I have the 700B and not the 700F - guess that would count as a demotion :)

your next purchase, a 700F with an original SQ Bracelet?

the 7548 is one of my favourite watches - tough as boots with quartz accuracy

I do have a fair few Seikos. My oldest is a Seiko Gyro, their first Automatic.

My daily beater is an SKX009 on a baseball leather strap.

My most unique is my bead blasted Orange Monster.

Thanks chaps and it is ageing nicely and watch is some 40 years old. The dial lume plots have gone a lovely cream colour while the original hands haven't which isn't unusual. I believe this is due to different batches of lume for hands and dial. It was purchased from the original owner who had dived all over the world with it.

    Cheers
    Neil

Probably my childish sense of humour but the logo at the bottom of the dial always makes me laugh.

I have an old Type II with the same single crystal logo.

I know what you mean , my wife mentioned it when she first noticed it. What does your childish sense of humour make of the twin crystal symbol?

    Sadly not my image.

That's a very nice Type 2 you have there, an unusual pale blue dial.
