Those GMTs are lovely, still really like that period of Seiko design.

The metal of that leather bracelet being next to the watches is freaking me out though :-)

    Lovely set.

I'm really loving this. I might make a pair with the LE gold and brown dial version

Here you go... bit grainy off the phone, cropped.. but you can see it alright here. Took a while to catch on.. but the seconds hand is a tail fin too.

I’m sure if your pockets are deep enough someone might be tempted to sell. They’re very rare now though and the kind of thing serious collectors are looking for, I reckon you’d be looking at over £3000. Having done a google search I found a thread on omega forum discussion a full set one on yahoo japan with an £8500 asking price, and that was two years ago.

If it’s the scubapro you really want then it’s going to be tough but if you like the watch and can live without the logo a 6309 is an almost identical looking watch and you’d get a nice one of those for 1/10th the price.

You can also get a normal 6306 but honestly they (again) are a collectors thing, they look the same as a 6309 but have a 21j hacking mvt, Japan day and are rarer than 6309’s so command 2-3 times the price of a 6309.

I guess what I’m waffling on about is if you want something that looks the same a really nice 6309 may satisfy the craving.

Not worn this bad boy in a long time. Not sure why not - absolutely love it. Probably my favourite 6138/6139 chrono.

That is lovely! I have now had to order the pepsi one for my SKX009! Thank you for posting.

Was it very difficult to remove the original bezel insert ? I have not done that before.

    Thanks!

Paul @ Tempus Watch Mods did all of the work including regulating the NH36 movement to an average +2.4 spd, pressure test to 10 bar, drilled the lugs, fitted a coin edge bezel and clear AR crystal for me.

I’d highly recommend Paul if you need work done on an SKX. He was very patient and thorough when describing what was and wasn’t possible/worthwhile and he charges sensible rates for his work too.

More pics will appear here and elsewhere over the next few days!

And best of luck with your bezel swap - hope to see pics of your 009 soon!

Ha! Thank you. That is very interesting. I enjoy modding and is less expensive myself! It is a very good looking watch.

Yup, great mods there. Ceramic bezel - especially lumed - and sapphire crystal makes a huge difference to any SKX! Highly recommended.
