I feel your pain, I really struggled to get mine on, too, it just wouldn't do the final click into place. I read somewhere to put it between 2 thickish books then stand on it. I thought that was someone being reeeeeaally facetious trying to sucker people into breaking their watch. I was soooo annoyed at it by now (and myself for not buying a press) that I followed the advice... and it worked! Phew! If only I had have just done it an hour earlier my blood pressure would have stayed at normal levels.

I'm enjoying this so much more than the SARB017 I used to have.

    Show your Seikos.

SPB147- Swapped the black silicon OEM with a cream and black NATO. The brown dial really goes with the cream/ beige.

Also have a olive green leather for it too. Will try later.

Love the MM200 models on the MM300 waffle straps. It's a shame the newer SLA versions of the MM300 don't come with them anymore as two of them cost me about £115! My SPB079 MM200 is on one of them.

Yeah I like the look too, I justified it by going cheaper that lots of other straps!
The watched arrived and now got a spare waffle strap too!
So been wearing this now for rest of the day

    Ooooooh, good question.
I would say that the MM300 is more blue in bright light, which means that it gives a wider variance in colour from bright blue, all the way to black in poor light.

    Cheers Andrew,
Maybe controversial, but how do you think it would look with a black bezel insert?

    An interesting thought.
I think that the watch could carry it off, but I wouldn’t...
    1. The watch looks stunning as it is
    2. The bezel and dial presently change colour equally beautifully

This watch ceases to amaze me at the variance of blues it goes through.
Today is dull, but the watch is presently a lovely deep blue, and the lume is still easily visible in daylight

I still think the SLA021 is one of the best looking MM300's ever made.

I've been considering this aswell as the spb143, cant decide between two. I normally avoid anything with gold on the dial but this is very tempting

    SLA021 again

    ... back on NATO.

Interesting how sometimes the black dial version is similar to the blue dial version SLA023!

    Two new arrivals today.

The 7549 was absolutely filthy. It had never been cleaned after 40 years. I gave it 2-3 hours of TLC including a rare NOS crystal and it belies it's age.

    The SPB183 is very impressive.

    Thanks guys.

It was a bit tired on arrival. The second hand not hitting it's markers was an issue that's now sorted. :-)
The bezel was a bit off due to play with the original worn bezel gasket. It aligned perfectly with the new bezel gasket fitted.
