No worries. Just from some shots I've already taken, here's the MM200 on the wrist, for comparison with the MM300. From this angle, they're remarkably similar. :)

Sorry to stick my nose in, but if it helps...
    The MM300 is 15mm thick
    The GSAR is 14mm thick

I have both sitting on my desk along with a set of digital callipers!

the case shape of the MM means it does not seem to catch on other objects as much as the Marathon - the smaller diameter bezel helps

    Thanks very much.
The scalloped undersides of both the MM300 and MM200 mean it doesn't feel bulky or clunky.

Haha no probs thanks. Have mixed memories of my GSAR, still really like the watch but just found it quite awkward on the wrist - so it didn’t hang around for too long!

    SOTSC

Rather suddenly I seem to have four Seikos in the collection!

I was going to say, I don’t quite know how that happened but that would be a lie. ☺

At the start of this year, I only owned the Pepsi Turtle SRP779K1 - which is on a Strapcode jubilee. It’s a fantastic watch and very comfortable on the jubilee. They seem to be less available these days, although you can purchase them on Japanese shopping sites.

After a very generous Xmas present from my mum, I decided to buy the Arnie and sort of made a New Year’s resolution to wear it for most of this year and stick with quartz watches. I did pretty well, lasting a whole four months before an unexpectedly large pay packet in April “forced” me to buy the SPB187.

As regulars on this thread, and the MM200 / MM300 comparison thread will know, the SPB187 acted as a catalyst for my purchase of the SLA021. So there we are, with four Seikos.

I enjoy them all for different reasons and at the moment, I intend to keep the SPB187, as it is a superb watch in it’s own right. It’s not of the quality of the SLA021 but it is a lovely watch for days when I may not want to wear the MM300. At the moment, it hasn’t got a chance… ☺

Good choice Chris. I have mine on today .

That bezel insert does change colour in different light conditions.

Looks superb David! The Tuna is just so easy to wear, and also photogenic!
And yes, the insert colour does change quite dramatically depending on lighting.

You've certainly showed the dial colour so much better than my average, quickly taken photo.

I have modified mine very slightly.

Thanks for the compliment, very kind.

Have you brushed the caseback and kept the tsunami wave polished? Looks excellent, really makes the logo pop.

I did. Circular brushing. I found the highly polished case back too much of a scratch and rub magnet as the case back protrudes way below the lower part of the lugs. (The case back is therefore always in contact with surfaces when sitting on a surface, dial up).

I collected one of these yesterday. Spotted it for sale on WUS and the seller was only a short train ride away from me. I’ll post a picture or two later this week.

MM300 SBDX001 from 2014. Spotted this for sale on WUS last week and it turned out that the seller stays in Falkirk, so not too far away. Picked it up on Saturday and finally wearing it today. The strap is horrible. The ones that accompany some MM200s are so much more supple. I’ll have to try it on the bracelet.

Congratulations, who knew Falkirk held such treasures! ;)

Some poo-poo the OEM bracelet, I really like it and find it comfortable, as well as easy to get a good fit, without using the ratcheting clasp, but that helps when needed. I popped my MM200 on for a while having worn my SLA021 for three weeks, and it felt tiny. How quickly we get used to watches at a particular size.

    Enjoy the watch!

Seabiscuit, you might want to try the Crafter Blue strap with the clasp from the bracelet.

I'm a big fan of the OEM strap but it does seem to be polarising. Uncle Seiko also worth looking at. There is a discount code on the forum somewhere - thread started by TTC.

Lammylee, dkpw and Wileeeeeey: Thanks for the kind words, encouragement and suggestions for alternative straps. Right now I’m waiting for the postie to deliver the Great Blue Hole MM200 that I bought from Andrew Cregan on Sunday. I think the GBH will definitely be a keeper. I regretted moving on the one I bought from Mark Lowman last year. Meanwhile, I’m getting along well with the MM300.

This SPB153 arrived yesterday, I always like a Seiko in the collection.

I was going to say it’s the most I’ve ever spent on a Seiko, but then remembered I’ve owned a MM300 in the past!

I’ve ordered the SPB151 bracelet for it as well, although I do like it on this Haveston canvas strap.

I agree, it's a very interesting and stunning case.

It's one of the four seasons collection, the Winter Edition SBGA415. It's my first GS, a recent acquisition from SC and I absolutely love it.

Given my usual tastes, this is a completely different direction for me and most welcome too as I was beginning to get a little bored with the hobby.
