A plain turtle with light mod: coin edge bezel (goes nice with the crown knurling), flat sapphire and lollipop seconds hand (my fav. here as it reminds me of 6306/9 turtle).

Baby turtle on a Haveston nato. Haven't worn it for a while but I love it. Couldn't decide on this thread, watches in sunshine, or just the Friday thread...doesn't matter I guess.

Just picked up a Seiko Prospex Tuna Arnie, I do love a Tuna and a beast of a watch.

Contrary to what various dealers with a vested interest might tell you, Bruce Lee's Seiko 6139 was brown. At least he wore a brown one and maybe also had a black one...
[It's easy to see why in some photos of Bruce, it looks like it's black - the same dial in some lights can look very dark ...
but in others - sunlight particularly - it's super chocolatey

Big thanks to Tom Hickman for selling me this beauty…

Prompted by this thread I bought this from an Ernest Jones sale. I've taken the original strap off and put it on a Marine Nationale style strap that's a shade lighter. The stock strap is much too stiff. I'm sure there's a way to wear it in. Perhaps I'll tape it round a tubular object and warm it up with a hairdryer. But in the meantime I'm very happy with the current arrangement.
Don't know how many Seikos I have now. At least a dozen. Must have an inventory soon.
Another vintage seiko incoming but while I wait for delivery I thought this one should get some wrist time. From October 1976, just like me...

Since many years finally a watch that satisfies me in all belongings. Definitely a watch that will help me reducing my flipping illness. On the way to break my records shortly before mid year. Long time since I bought and sold so few watches in 6 months…

I thought I might have posted a pic of this watch in this thread already, but it seems I haven't.
I bought two of these from a place in an indoor mall in Covent Garden just before the turn of the century. I gave the other one, with a full lume cream dial, to my girlfriend at the time.
I remember that the last time I wore it was at an interview and I've been in that job nearly ten years now, so I thought it was due a run out. It's an auto, non-hacking with day / date. Has a display back. But not branded as a '5'.
Note that the chapter ring is way out of alignment - Seiko's QC issues are not a new phenomenon.

I was contemplating selling this but the wife saw it today and said she loved it, especially the dial colour. I think this is only the second time she's ever commented on one of my watches, so I guess it stays

I have lusted after one of these for a long time but alway worried about buying a duffer due to the amount of non original ones out there.
Yours looks a really nice example with sharp lines on the case. Enjoy what is an all time classic

I have decided to keep this now, so I thought, why not give it a run out.![]()
Been quite some time since I've worn this one, perfect opportunity to bring it out for a charge in the Sun

New to me but obviously not 'new'.
August 1978 Seiko Grand Quartz with the 9943 twin quartz movement (one for timing, one as a thermocompensator, +/- 10spy!) and beautiful snowflake dial.
