Picked up a SKX007J yesterday - sold my last one a couple of years back.
Had forgotten what cracking value and quality they are.
Here it is with my 6309.

Just arrived today and managed to resize the bracelet. Had fun with the pin and collar arrangement on the bracelet but got there in the end. Love the dial on this and crown winds smoothly and as far as I can see it all lines up. I'm a very happy man.

Been spending a little bit of time recently looking at my watches and moving on a couple of those I didn't wear much. One thing I thought for definite was that I didn't need any more 'nice' watches (always room for a few more G-Shocks though, obviously :)). So when a 'cocktail time' SRPB43J1 came up at a reasonable price, I knew I didn't need it as I've got other dressy watches I don't wear much. Anyway, here it is. Yes, I am weak.

It's that glorious sunray dial I wanted, with the retro-style high-dome crystal making it a bugger to photograph, the patent calf strap is surprisingly nice too.

Had the turtle as a fail safe watch, won the kakume in one of the charity raffles and have just acquired yet again an MM300 which for me personally is the nicest Diver’s watch at this price point?
Anyway that’s what the Seikos have become as I got rid of the blue lagoon Samurai because I don’t think I actually wore it once even though I loved it?????
I’m a bracelet man but must admit I think I’ll find the MM300 more comfortable on the rubber? Would also like a jubilee option for it as I find jubilee bracelets as a whole much more comfortable.

I always preferred the mm300 on the stock rubber although ultimately found it too large and heavy for me. Agree it would look great on a jubilee, I think Strap Code does one and has pictures of it on the mm300, looked good but I was never sure on the end piece fit or matching of the steel.

Yes, that is the problem with high end watch, we expect it all to be perfect

My SNK031 getting some wrist time

Rarely wore this, as I didn't gel with the bracelet, too blingy for me, though the face/bezel reminded me of a black dial EXP11, which I've always liked.

So, I popped on a spare vintage leather strap, and IMO, its transformed it. Been wearing it every day for almost a week now, and really like it.

Just received this and wow - I am blown away by the quality, the looks and especially the wearability.
    Instant love.

Very true. Closest to perfection for me is my GS SBGR053.

Totally agree what a difference the leather strap makes. It look like a different watch altogether.

I've been waiting and watching for a Weekdater for a LONG time... then in the space of one week... this happens!

    Both come originally from Martin.

The one on the left: https://adventuresinamateurwatchfett...tic-6218-8950/
The one on the right: https://adventuresinamateurwatchfett...tic-6218-8971/

Both are now fitted with Hirsch London black alligator straps which look perfect on them IMO.

Things is... which one stays?... or do they both stay?!

I had this watch but I sold it (here on TZ I think) and I regret it. It really irked me how the buttons were too easy to press and activate inadvertently but i think it's the best ana-digi out there !

Nothing exciting but this Seiko has been by my side for the last 9 years. My go to travel watch, especially on the jungle NATO....

Yes, I thought the same as you, according to Jura it was July.
I bought this from a place called TIC Watches. Great service from them too!

    Regarding the ana-digi Seiko, it’s SNJ023.

Been wanting to try one for a couple of years. Always seem to miss them.

And I've just ordered one , thanks to two pictures posted by Chris!

Hadn't even realised these were being released and always regretted selling a gold quartz tuna (600m) years ago. Main reason for selling was that it was just a bit too big and chunky so this should be perfect. Should be with me Tuesday and can't wait!

    Cheers

SNE498P1 for the black and gold. There's a Pepsi Padi version which looked a bit too busy to my eyes and a bracelet version (black dial) and stainless steel(silver coloured) shroud screws I think but haven't seen pictures of that one.

    Cheers

First time giving my SKX009 a run out on the stock bracelet. Initially was on NATO’s (as I imagined I would wear it), briefly onto rubber and now onto this. It’s funny how your tastes change!

Anyone found it for less than £380?
