    Zenith El Primero Vintage

24 hours after it has been sent from Rome DHL knocked on my door, Täby Sweden.

A Zenith El Primero 1972, 37 mm. 3019 PHC. Model number 01-0210-415. Associated original band (which is rare). Created in 4000 copies.

Shall replace the hands as they lost some color, which is common on these.

Wow, a beautiful watch, congratulations. The hands look fine to me....

That is a hoofing piece. I am trying not to look at or think about an El Primero, and this little darling strolls in!

Oh well, I can feel the best intentions crumbling as I type.

I love it, the only "problem" is when servicing LVHM do not hesitate in asking for all your money

I don't think it is possible to ask for a more sophisticated gentleman's vintage chronograph than this. Lovely, in every way.

Really nice, and even better with the bracelet. I used to have an un-branded bracelet of that type, with the flattened or rolled links - very comfortable.

I have the exact model and it is truly a wonder. It looks a fantastic example you have, I particularly like the bracelet. I've been unsuccessfully hunting for one for some time now.

That epitomises everything good about Zenith, IMO. I wouldn't replace the hands, though - just have them relumed to match the dial, if anything. There are members here (e.g. James/Dreamboat10) who could do that for you.

Seriously lovely watch. Have you tried it on a leather strap yet?

    Thanks

I have currently no plans to switch to leather. But in the future I maybe change my mind. I've always been a big fan of kroko / alligator, lizard and I have it on several of my watches but I let steel bracelet remain, it is still the original ;)
