My 1980 fatboy CWC G10 died in the night a few days ago. I've only had it a few weeks and it was a present from Eddie so I was quite upset. I was just about to send it off to Andrew Leftly at Time World Services but, wonder of wonders, I seem to have fixed it. (That's a big deal for me; I usually make matters worse!)

So: there's a small circle of clear coloured plastic that goes under the lower battery contact (presumably to stop it short circuiting). I think I must have dislodged it when I opened the hatch to have a look around (I know, I know: "why oh why etc"); I moved it back into a more central position and the watch is ticking away.

I will see how it goes but thought I'd share this this will you in case it can be of help to others.

Happier now!
