Welcome to the fold
Hi guys,
Been a long time lurker on this forum but I thought it was about time to bite the bullet and join the fray as you generally all seem like a decent bunch of chaps. The main reason I decided to join and add some input was a recent thread concerning watch production or rather watch manufacture and the lack thereof in the U.K. I'll try to keep this brief as its only an introduction really and I'll post on this later but I'm a 4th generation engineer, currently working in an extremely high precision industry and for the life of me I can't see the reason why there shouldn't be a manufacturer.
Less of that for now, don't be mislead by my user name as I don't have a Daytona of the watch variety of any description unfortunately but did once have a Triumph Daytona 955i. I currently have a couple of Seiko monsters one black and one orange and my daily beater is an old model Tissot Seastar 660 which has been exceptional in terms of time keeping, reliability, comfort and robustness and my watches don't have an easy life!
Anyway thanks for looking at my intro and I look forward to some lively debate with like minded and well informed watch addicts.
Dave

Hi Dave, welcome to the forum
Hello and it does help to be slightly mad.
Welcome to the forum, hope you enjoy it.
Welcome to the forum!
Hello! I've been a lurker for the past few years most of the time, just buying stuff on sale from people :)
Welcome Dave'enjoy the forum...
welcome to the forums
hi
it's a crazy place to be
only been here 2 months my self and have spent over £7k since.
So I would leave now, before you spend your savings ;-)
I was very happy owning just 1 watch for the last 20 odd years now I have 4 and have a want list for another 4 !!!!
my aim was five max but only being 1 away and having 4 on my want list seems impossible.
Hi Dave and welcome to the forum!
Please do show your current watches. I'm quite curious to see that Tissot.

Hello & welcome...
...if you've been lurking a while then you must know exactly what you're letting yourself in for!
Welcome to the forum
Hello and welcome.
As a newbie I have to warn you that you will get very enmeshed with the multiple threads in this forum.
It can become very addictive, and time consuming, but great.
Have fun
Enjoy your time on the forum, it's one helluva ride!!!
Hello and welcome. Any pictures of collection are alway welcome if you wish to share
Rolex Daytona, Triumph Daytona. Potaeto, Potato
Pooh! All the same. Welcome!
Hi Dave, there's quite a few bikers on here too so some pics of the bikes are welcome too. There's often one or two for sale on SC when you get there too.
Another welcome Dave
Hola.
Good evening and welcome
Hello from East Leicestershire!!!
Welcome aboard Dave!
Welcome from the Isle of Man. Roll on TT week.
Welcome to the forum .
In the Sotadic Zone, apparently.
Thanks to you all for your warm welcome and to be honest I wouldn't have expected any less. I will try and get some photos up and post when I can but I have just moved house and I have a list of things to do to keep The Boss happy which is as long as my wish list of watches!
I realise I've made a fatal financial mistake by joining the madhouse but seriously, I'm looking forward to it and as mentioned above I have to get started on that wish list some time. I do like my divers, have had a few over the years and have done a bit of recreational scuba with them back in the day.
Anyway, must fly, walls to be painted, gardens to be dug etc. before I'm allowed to get cracking on the serious stuff.
Cheers all,
Dave
