    Farewell Mr Crowley

Today we said goodbye to a founder member of the forum and friend to many. The chapel was packed and Paul's father delivered a eulogy which was both moving and funny, just how Paul would have liked. We entered the chapel to Motorhead's "Killed By Death" and left to Lemmy's slow version of "Ace of Spades". I thought it typical that Paul would have a black coffin ;-).

The forum was represent by Ralphy, Pauluspaolo and myself.

    Requiescat in pace Paul.

I am glad Paul got the send off I am sure he would have wanted; and I am glad it was supported by members of the forum attending.

Thank you for posting the details and photo Eddie.
It's just a matter of time...

A sad day but I am glad it had humour and a rock soundtrack to him off. Sorry I couldn't make it

Those that attended- thanks for representing the forum.

Bye Paul. The forum is a poorer place without you.

Never had any dealings or exchanges with Paul but felt I knew him somewhat through his posts and presence here. Feel genuinely sad reading this thread.

    RIP sir.

Farewell Paul. Going to play No Sleep 'tll Hammersmith now, love that live album.

Sounds like he went off the way he would have wanted to go. Rocking til the end.

  33. #33
He had a lot to put up with, but always had time to spark the place up, from what little I knew of him around here.
    Gone but definitely not forgotten.
Thankyou again those who attended on our behalf.

So glad the forum where Paul was held in such high esteem was represented by our friends who attended.

    RIP Paul.
    Cheers,
    Neil.

The friends and family know of the enjoyment that Paul had of watches and of being part of this forum and on their wishes all the messages of condolences that have been posted here were printed off and a copy accompanied Paul in his casket.

Paul was a very special person, both my wife and I thought the world of him and he lives on in our hearts.

That is very heartwarming to hear. I'm glad his family got to understand how well and widely Paul was regarded on this forum. Both the messages and the presence of forum members (and founder) speaks volumes about this place.
