Nice...no idea of price?
Very interesting, any indication of the UK price?
The date wheel is totally unnecessary imho, and looks a little shoe horned in.
Definitely makes me want to get my MKII case refinished though :)
Lovely
Absolutely love this. Now top of my wanted list.
Thats a busy dial, sorry not on my list.
So it took Omega some forty years to add a date?
Better late then never.
Do find this new dial a bit busier. A nice blast from the past.
Did not see that coming.
I am sure will be pricey, but will make a lot of MKii owners happy with a likely jump in pre-owned prices.
Looks great, but no doubt it will be stupid money in comparison to buying a preowned original Mkii. Think it'll be popular though, more so than the bull head. I'm just happy in the knowledge that I have the original.
They look fantastic. Date wheel is fine...don't bother me. But I bet the price will
Undecided about the date. Otherwise I like it.
BTW is this where modern watch design is coming to? I have no idea and why don't we see what we got!!
Nice, I wonder if the crystal can be retrofitted to my racing dial ;-)
Nearly flipped my racing dial a few weeks back and so so so pleased I didn't
Looks awesome. The MK2 is a "cheap" Speedie even with the Racing dial but this edition most likely will change that. The date looks subtle, I do like it in fact.
The Big Blue should be next
Stunning, lovely watch, not a huge departure from the originals, I, unlike most can live with the date
Wicked, love the old version and it would appear Omega know what we like And want.On the list price permitting....
Nice, the date looks quite subtle methinks as integrated into the sub dial.
Wow wow wow. But I bet the price will be bonkers:(
Grrrr- darn you Omega ! Going to push up prices on vintage MkIIs methinks.....predictably on my wish list!
Good effort from Omega. I'm not sure about the date wheel, but not a deal breaker.
That looks fantastic, I bet it's north of 5 large though.... Boo
It looks like another take on the Speedmaster racing which I did realise was updated last year

Mmmhhh... Not for me really... Looks a bit clinical...
That is bloody lovely! Omega are coming out with some top, top watches at the moment. It's just a shame that their RRP's are going up so much as a result.
A choice modern Omega......and I don't find myself saying that very often.
Wonder if setting the date to 8 in the publicity photos was for the Chinese audience.

I think that looks really good. Great that they have used a bracelet that looks to be typical of the period.
I think they have done that very, very nicely indeed, but then I am partial to that sort of case shape - prone to accidental damage to the graining on the front of the case though.
$6250 according to http://feedly.com/k/1algatK
I think it looks fabulous especially with the 'sports' style dial. But at those (increasingly ludicrous) prices I think I'd just rather have an original MK2. Suspect it'll also be a bit bigger than the original Speedie MK2!
Why? Because it's lazy.
'It' for me, along with that recent other 'Speedmaster' thing, treads clumsily on the toes and souls of the inspired originals destined, throughout coming millennia, to be iconic. Any lover of vintage watches should shun such lacklustre baubles. Co Axial movement, no creamy Trit and a ridiculous price tag. I'd like to say I admired Omega/Swatch or whatever for the undoubted investment they must have made, but I'm not going to.
Despite recently giving away my MK2 (no one here wanted it for a paltry £750, so well done xxxxxx!) I hope that this folly will inspire admirers to turn away from novelty/need to throw away thousands of pounds, and take the time seek out and appreciate an original. They are considered 'Championship' against the Premier League' Moonwatch, but they are a fabulous bit of kit and very much of their time.
What next, Apple bring out a iMac that looks like a chunky keyed 80s Video Recorder, Samsung a black & white TV on a wafer thin curved screen, BMW remake the mini?
Get a grip man!
Tidy, but pricey. I prefer it with a date.
Nice, thought it was black from the initial photos, but still like it.
Like the PloProf reissue, munted by the date wheel.
In this case, not needed at all.
At least this one has the date reading the right way though - unlike the PloProf which was designed to be read worn on the right wrist (no offense to left handed people, who I assume wear it on the right wrist).
Chopard were terrible for that too - one model Millie Miglia was correct, the next was poked, and so it went.

Oh yeah, and US$6250 (and probably only serviceable by Omega) - I don't think so.
Rob.
Not sure what use "creamy trit" would be to man or beast (it won't be luminous, the discolouration comes from age, which I don't think you should try to fake, and in any case they're not allowed to use tritium it unless it's inside a tube), but do consider that Omega, with its ready new-money market, could easily have gone off-piste with a co-ax 930x movement, two subdials and a ten-grand price tag. £4,000 is a lot, over £1,000 more than a vanilla Speedmaster Pro, but I admire their self-restraint.
This looks a lot more like the original than their clunky new "Moonwatch". The upsizing wasn't really necessary, but 42.x mm counts as sensible these days!
...but what do I know; I don't even like watches!
And here is my 1972 MK11 Racing dial Omega
