Wow somebody likes their tags.
Just as an idea, surely the holiday and beater watch can be the same thing?
It's all getting a bit too much for me these days and I've decided it's time to try and get down to four watches.
I want to end up with the following:-
A "posh" watch for going out
An every day watch
A beater
A holiday watch.
I currently have the following watches. Which would you keep and which would you sell?
Tag Heuer Carrera 1887
Glycine combat sub bought new by me about 18 months ago.
Tag Heuer Carrera day/date bought as a Christmas present to myself in 2009.
Tag Heuer 1000 quartz. I bought it when I decided to have a collection of 90's Tag Heuers. Had the glass replaced with a sapphire.
Tag Heuer 4000. I bought this one as it's the same as my first Tag. Serviced by Genesis last year.
Tag Heuer Link Calibre 36. Because I like the Zenith movement inside.
Tag Heuer Monza Calibre 36. The first £2k plus watch I've bought. I've had this one over ten years.
Tag Heuer Monza Calibre 36. The limited edition version is IMO just beautiful.
My Kirium beater just never let's me down.
A pair of Tag Heuer Links that I just seem to have ended up with. The second one has recently been serviced by Paul (Walkerwek1958).
So there we have it. What would you do? Cheers guys.

My choices would be;
'Posh' - Carrera 1887
'Everyday' - Glycine Combat
'Beater' - Tag 1000 Quartz
'Holiday' - Tag Heuer Monza Cal. 36 Limited Edition
But that's only my opinion. You know whether you have any affection to a particular watch that would make you more inclined to keep it.
You could always sell more and replace them with new acquisitions ??
Dave,You need to add a S/EL Chronograph to the collection
I world keep the old quartz diver, sell everything else and buy the GS on SC. ;)
Honestly, I must say there is something special about keeping to one brand, regardless of brand. It's not the brand I would choose, but they (Tag) do make some nice watches! I would probably thin it down and start the hunt for a Monaco.
Ditch them all apart from the Glycine, the quartz and the White monza calibre 36. Those cover posh / everyday / holiday between them. if you really need a dedicated beater in addition to those keep the kirium as well. Then post cull, wait at least six months before you buy something decent with the proceeds.

Good luck everybody. Have a good one.
Great collection.
I'm just not sure about tags' link bracelets.
I used to love them, I think the problem is I'm from an age when every one at school had a fake Tag (after going to spain for holiday).
Posh - Tag Heuer Monza Cal. 36 Limited Edition
Everyday - Carrera 1887
Beater - Tag 1000 Quartz
Holiday - Glycine Combat
I think the zenith chronos are the pick of the collection, and could form a nice theme.
Everyday: Link cal 36
Posh: Monza Cal 36 (Black)
Beater / holiday: 1000 Quartz
It's a nice collection Dave+63, all very desirable watches, I don't envy your task.
The 1887, Day Date, Link Calibre 36 and Monza will work as dress watches. The thing with the Ltd edition Monza is, will you regret selling it later?
Everyday, black faced link or Kirium.
Beater Tag Heuer 1000.
Holiday, not sure what that means I normally take my daily wearer.
To be honest I have a box of watches that get worn about once every couple of months, some I promise to myself that I'll sell but I never do. The difficultly is picking which ones to sell and why, the extra conundrum to add into the mix for me is I know ill be disappointed with the resale price so unless I need the money they stay.
Lovely watches, you could easy fill the four positions available with a whole host of combinations.
Thanks for your input gents. You've given me something to think about.
I may be busy on SC soon.
Sell all the TAGs. Keep the Glycine and buy lots of different NATOs for it, use that as your beater/holiday or buy a cheap quartz watch for beater / holiday.
Posh: Smiths Everest and a range of leather and NATO straps to complement the bracelet and/or suit your wardrobe.
Like a Speedmaster, the Everest is at home on all options.
I am undecided on a solution yet, will get back on that one but I love that tag Carrera what a great collection
Posh: Monza LE, pure class, I’d be delighted to own that
Everyday: Monza black dial or the 1887
Beater: Glycine
Holiday: Sell everything else and get yourself either a) a G-Shock or b) something sporty with a GMT function. I’ve a Sinn 857 UTC which I just love for that purpose.
Whatever you do, wear ‘em in good health and have a good year!
