    Show me your high-hat

I've always liked to look of the high-hat glass whenever I've seen photo's of them, but I've never owned one until recently, imo they are a cool feature on a watch, so let's see if you agree and show me your high-hat photos of course.

    Forgive my ignorance, but what's a high/top-hat?

It's a crystal (usually plexi) that sits very proud of the watch Jim.

    Technically they're a pair of cymbals. :-)

Thanks. Viewing the thread on my phone and it wasn't immediately obvious from the pictures but I can see where the name comes from now.

A rather old and blurry phone pic, but it does capture the sunlight shining through the edges of the crystal, across the dial and out the other side, which is why I took it at the time.

Poor pic. It's an oval crystal so cut away more at the ends.

Yes of course, the tall crystal gives it added beauty.

Thanks, this is my first "high-hat" - & true, it does add a certain something to the watch.
