Thread: New arrival

    New arrival

Just before Christmas i had a watch arrive from Germany, within hours of ordering it. I have only just had time to take some quick pictures of it with another fairly recent arrival..

Its a Sinn 104 St Sa, i knew i would have one of these at some point when they were released, i found one for a decent price considering its on a bracelet and quickly bought it.

Entirely polished except for the two rows of centre links in the bracelet, which are brushed and time will tell if i can get used to its shine.

Not much to add, i'm pleased and for anybody considering one, go for it. I am looking forward to trying a few straps on this one.

    Some crap images below!

And here it is with another fairly recent arrival..

Love these, Mike, although if I'm being entirely honest I think I refer them on leather. The 103s/104s really are tremendous watches.

I had it on a lovely Plum Toshi for a day over Christmas, superb.
The lack of micro adjustment on the bracelet will be a problem for me, i wanted something for some strap fun anyway.

I love that watch. Absolutely classic without being derivative. My only concern is the thickness. How does it compare height-wise to, say, a Sub, an SMP or a Seiko SKX? I've compared the numbers but would still love to hear an opinion.

Congratulations on your new Sinn - I like everything about it apart from the syringe hands - sorry. :(
Regardless it's well matched with your Tudor.

I have to say that is a beautiful watch and I can't stop looking at Jura watches! It's been a long time a watch has grabbed me as much as this has.

Any pics with the leather Toshi?

Just shows how tastes differ - the hands are one of the things that do appeal to me.
Sinn makes some very nice watches.

Lovely Mike - did you buy from an actual jeweller? Would be keen to buy abroad for a good deal but looking for recommendations.

I'm seriously looking at buying one but I have a reservation on it. I have 6.5 inch wrist and I think it may be too big on me a it is a 41mm case. Anyone agree?

Lovely watch, just realised that the bezel counts anti clockwise? Is this a special feature or a something that Sinn are known for?

It's a countdown bezel. I believe it's an aviation-related feature. Instead of starting at zero and showing elapsed time, you set it for the time you need to measure and it shows the time left until zero. All of my bezel watches have elapsed time bezels and I often think a countdown bezel would make more sense for me, considering I use them mostly for cooking and measuring my five-year old's time outs.

I have a Seiko SKX and an Alpinist which uses the same case but has a thinner bezel. Its a touch thinner than the diver, not by much at all.

My wrist is not a massive amount bigger than yours, i've not checked for a while, i think you will be fine.

What a gorgeous pair - both have been tempting me recently.

That Sinn is gorgeous and, weirdly for me, I think I prefer it on the strap to the bracelet.

Big fan of the Tudor too.
