    Christmas Pressies for my Girlfriend

    Looking for inspiration.

My Fiance is 25 and im struggling. Ive purchased a few stocking fillers but need something substantial. No Jewelry though.

    I was thinking maybe a nice organiser/filofax.

So guys what have you bought (or planning to buy the other half) or ladies what do you want.

Hopefully this thread will help a few others out as well.

He said he has a stocking filler but needs something substantial. So make it the 4ft "undergrowth avenger" version.

Or some nice lingerie - more of a present for you than her;)

Women usually say it's the thought that counts.

So fill a huge box with tags once you've wrote down all the things you've ever thought of buying her on them.

My guess would be she will never say "it's the thought that counts" ever again.

I was thinking mulberry. But pricey for a diary.

I got my other half an Osprey handbag and purse. She loved it.
Or how about a spa break?

Maybe something a tad more romantic would do the trick. Make her a card with pictures of the both of you having a good time & depending on your budget maybe a candlelit meal out or cook her something special at home & make a real occasion of it to make her feel special...if that's too much hassle go for the pegging equipment.

Surely it's too cold to be hanging out the washing

Something romantic might be a handbag with lots of little tags in it, and on each tag write something you like about her, or something you've loved doing with her.

Though got to say that to date my missus likes diamonds as stocking fillers...

If you are thinking Filofax then have a look at mulberry ones. I bought the wife one the other year.

Some slippers and a vibrator. Then if she doesn't like the slippers she can go screw herself.

Get her a radley purse/filofax effort and a spa day. Chicks dig sitting round in towels while other women massage their feet and offer them wine.

Perfume, something like Mark Jacobs is very nice.

    Hat/glove/scarf combo

Calendar of some crappy Gaylord boy band like one direction

    Some Beats head phones

IPad,iPod shuffle or some techie gadget that she's bound not to use so you can bagsy it!

Louis vatton always goes down well. If you tell them its for a loved one they will sometimes throw in a bottle of wine.

    Genius.

My GF loves reading and has a few favourite book series. Both a Kindle and audio books or her favourite books all went down extremely well.

A rare book, something from her past maybe that she's told you about.
or something totally frivolous that shows you have been listening to what she likes.

  23. #23
The Book is a good idea...but...

I'd go for clothes. Something nice that will suit her. Be brave (if needed take your sister, female friend, mum!).

Look in her closet, find the right size (if possible a size in a particular shop as they can vary).

Tops easier than skirts, trousers if you've not been brave before.

Get two or three nice classy pieces, spend a little don't go too "Primark" ...Job done.

    Works a treat

(Primark do some nice clothes actually...but not for pressies)

Some superb ideas in this thread.

    Hang on, someone's phoning me.

    AO: Hello?

Caller: Hello. It's IT from work. Just checking if your laptop has been nicked.

    AO: Er... no.

Caller: I see. We were worried. Someone's just used it to Google 'pegging' and 'undergrowth avenger'.

AO: Oh, er... I was looking for Christmas gifts and...

    Caller: I see...

If it's a keeper, you'd know what to get her.

If not, adjust your budget dependent upon how long after Christmas you want to retain her, as I guarantee, they judge you on the standard of pressie!

Agree with Mulberry. Every year I queue up like a mug and hand over wads of cash for a pile of over priced leather.
It makes me feel better for the times I queue up in watch shops to hand over wads of cash for a lump of over priced stainless steel.

    Harsh!

How about some Jo Malone perfume? More expensive than the usual stuff but well worth it and it will show you've thought about it instead of just going into Boots when you got your pit spray and jonnies.

Oh and that stunning Lola Rose necklace that's on SC for just £35.

How about a Dyson or a nice steam iron - this is what my wife wanted last year and got.

    I received sweet FA.
This Is what 27 years of marriage does for you.

Handbag - Prada, underwear M&S - that she can return them and get stuff which is more comfortable.

This year Mrs G is getting a nice Cashmere sweater - hopefully then she will return mine.

That beast is already stuff with Cartier, Pravda, LV gold and diamonds and other things she does not need.

Its funny, tonight she mentioned that she thought it was time to remodel the kitchen - at least £35k as she wants a wall and a window moved.

    WTF!

How about a 33-34 mm watch from the 50's? My missus enjoys a lot her Girard Perregaux and her Baume & Mercier from that decade. It shouldn't be very expensive and it would obviously be coming from her WIS boyfriend.
