Great find. Makes me wonder how people look at us: the not-so-well-known (wo)men between 50 and 60...
Back in the 80s, I was a college teacher and I'm always amazed that former students (now grown ups with children...) still recognise me and ask me if I still tell urban myths in class! (Yes).

Most ladies on these pics have taken care of themselves, but some men... I agree with all of the above about Bananarama. But I was always a fan of Annie Lennox and still am.

Sadly, I suspect all us 40-50 somethings probably look mostly as bad (with the odd exception) such is life!

I recall seeing a photo on Friends Reunited some years ago (is it still around?) of two guys who used to have massive "Hair-Bear-Bunch" frizzes of hair at school. Both were bald as a coot!

My son used to attend karate class. One week I was talking to the instructor and he asked if I taught at a certain school. Turns out he was thinking of my father (who people say I do resemble) who taught there many years ago.

Not sure what this means - he's daft (probably) or I look 20 years older than I am.

I think I look a lot better with age.

You can see a lot of that lot have been round the block and done some shite in their time.

    Lov 'em (some)

It just shows how quickly time goes by, but one thing I found out recently was that, Debbie Harry is 5 years older than Suzi Quattro

    Photo not taken recently.

Toni Basil might be the oldest one there - at 70, she looks to be in pretty good nick for three score years and ten....

I wouldnt have recognised half of them in the 80s

Most of those are shocking, it seems to be based on extremes, although Peter Murphy still looks menacingly cool.

Plenty missing from that list but this is the most obvious omission to me....

  23. #73
Bananarama were on a celebrity episode of Pointless a few weeks ago, they looked mighty fine

Now, do I search for a recent pic of Debbie Gibson or should I just stick to those 1987 memories

Oh no, go ahead and search - but try "Debbie Gibson Playboy" for much better results. Try similar for Tiffany.

Thank me later after you have spent some time "reminiscing".
So clever my foot fell off.

You might need to give some more details. Such as who they are for example. I'm pretty sure they aren't ColdPlay, but not 100%

I didn't look when I heard she'd done playboy, and I'm not going to look now.

Thankfully wikipedia supplied a non playboy pic from 2009....looking good :)

Age is a terrible thing, looking at those pics you can add or minus the following -

    lack of hair
    plastic surgery
    weight gain - some obese
    hideous makeup
    cellulite
trying to be young again hair style

The only one to me that looks really good is Billy Idol and he has probably had the hardest life!!

Why were you wearing track suit bottoms and slippers?

Toni Basil is 70 now, she was 38 in this picture'

but I'm sure you all remember this.

Really, Toni Basil was 38 back in the day when she was in that video, I loved her when i was a kid. She looks cool now for 70.

    The GoGo's still look smoking.

The two girls from banarama were on some quiz show pointless a couple of weeks ago, they are still fine. In fact Karen (my Fav) is still with Wham's Andrew Ridgely and they do not live to far from where I used to visit for work.

Debbie Gibson is at the end of Katy Perrys video for her track Friday with Cory Feldman, she looks plastic now.

Where as Tiffany OMFG is amazing now IMO.

Simon Le Bon has turned into Oliver Reed!

Tears for fears other than looking grey don't seem to have changed that much, and I don't think that is Andy Bell in the erasure photo'

The blonde one in Bananarama looks 10 times better than she did into eighties

And been stretched too, he was much shorter than that in the 80s, he was always the little plump one in a basque

Aye, he's looking as slick as ever, especially when you consider he's a decade older than many of the others ............ he's 69 now.

Some good examples of drugs keeping you young in those photos I think.

Age comes to us all and I think most look perfectly fine. It's when they start plassing themselves up that they look awful.
    Cheers,
