It's that whole image vs reality thing.
Imagine a sports car and your view out of the windscreen will be of a race track or the open road, but in reality once you've bought your sports car the view will be of the 1996 Nissan Micra sat stationary in front of you in the daily grind to work.
Ralphy put up the image shots of diving and beautiful women, but the reality is a timepiece clamped to a desk in the spare room with the owner browsing tz-uk until the bleeding subsides.

Thank you. There’s a bit of a back-story to go with that particular dive...
I thought it would make a nice photo to take down the Peli case complete with the watch, strap and the screwdriver container, so I attached it to my BCD and dived down to a suitable location. But when I came to open it there was a problem: the water pressure had compressed the air in the box and rendered it impossible to open (the pressure valve on the case wouldn’t allow the water in). Hoping to open it on ascent I headed for the ‘safety stop’ level (5 metres) but it remained resolutely shut on the way up and remained so when I arrived at that level.
Going to the surface to open it and then descending straight away would have sent my dive-computer into hysterics, so I came up with a cunning plan: leave the computer tied to a nearby buoy-line, then surface, open the box, descend again (with the box lid cracked open) and collect the computer on the way down. This worked well, but by the time I reached the location I’d had to give up on attempting to hold the lid down by hand - as the foam inner was retaining so much air it was highly buoyant - so I had to clamp it between the BCD and my chest.
So to get the shot I would have to remove the foam, but that was another problem: the central piece just lifts out but the top layer is glued so it had to remain in. This still made the box too buoyant so it was time for another cunning plan: I took one of the lead weights out of my weight-belt and, using some fishing line that I’d picked up on a previous dive, I tied it to the bottom of the case in order to weigh it down.
So that’s why you see the Voyager on it’s own in the case. ;-)
EDIT.
I had planned to do some open water shots like this:
But as you can see, the particulation in the water was bad (this was to be a problem throughout the trip due to recent storms) so I canned quite a few.

very interesting it shows how much thought goes into a photo shoot at times.
^ ^ That's a very interesting story, Ralphy, thanks for telling it.
I recently saw an archived early or mid-1970s interview of a British film director by a TV "talk show" host over here and I, and apparently the interviewer and audience by their reaction, thought the best part of it was the director explaining how he set up the filming of some of the most difficult and famous scenes from his decades of making distinctly unique films. From listening to him, his secret seemed to be in often quite informally and without great production costs improvising various expedients to achieve the image he wanted on film.
The director was Alfred Hitchcock so you're in great company in that
Can't decide which looks better. The Bracelet or the Straps.
I used a cup of boing water to losen the screws. I removed one of the included screwdriver bits and put it into a small vacuum table vice to hold it while using the other screwdriver to loosen the srews. Much easier and no scratches.
I actually like this Dreadnought and I'm considering buying one but would like to ask as to how readable the second-hand is in use? It looks as though it almost disappears in still photos. I have been wearing my Sinn U2 everyday since I bought it in June 2007 so strapping something else on my wrist would feel like being unfaith to it ;-) but I know at some point that my Sin will have to go off for a service and I'd want something nice to wear while it is away.

Some nice photo's with straps in this thread
Like the look of the above link, no 22mm's in stock just now, would this fit or would the curved ends stop it fitting properly.
Think it would be a good match for the watch?
Just sitting in my office admiring my new DN. I've never had a bead-blasted watch, the finish is truly magnificent.
