I am a big fan of Paolo's creation, been wearing mine solid for 2 weeks now.
But I wouldn't class it as a mission timer.
Personally I cannot think how he could integrate a bezel into his elegant case design without it looking odd, as the raised numerical minute index effectively serves as a fixed besel already. But this has no such feature, so a bezel could fit right on......

Additionally, I don't think a bezel needs to be particularly thick to work well. i have a Tutma FX, and the bezel on that is really thin but still really useful without eating into the sleek refined look of the watch.

I would love to see a version of the design pictured above become reality... this thread is exciting and frustrating!
A thin bezel can open up the face nicely too -

Same here, one of the few watches that appear on here that I always look at and wish I owned.

And, with that watch, more than any other that I know of, I think you can really see what influences Sinn drew on when they created the EZM1 (also another lust watch for me).

Itís my favourite too. However I think that this watch would now need to be made using the ETA 251.264, which has replaced the 251.262.

Same functions, but different setting procedure apparently.

Now that Eddie is happy to make chronographs again, I am more hopeful than I was a few years ago that this project will go ahead.

I am also hopeful that we will see the re-re-issue of the PRS-17Q, not least because I have seen mock-up pictures on here of proposed watches using the Precista 89 case. I am intrigued as to whether we will see a PRS-17Q with the 89 dial as before, or the 1988 dial that I would love to see. Even better if both dials are offered as a choice.

How about an internal bezel like the Aquastars that seem have worked their way on to my wish list

Keeps the case simple but perhaps not the mechanism. Still a very elegant solution.

No thanks. We have to stay focused on the grail!

It is an old topic and because never this project found its production I tried to do my own 17c MT. I found dial and found watchmaker who modyfied movement to keep only central minute and second.

That looks very cool. Want to share details of how it was done - donor watch, movement etc? Just interested to know what it took to get there and also how its working longer term.

Wasn't there a company that sort of allowed you to customise your own watch from a catalogue of parts? MKii or something, I'm sure I spent ages mocking up some designs on their site years back.

I found only dial what would fit this case and date wheel. I discovered that all vostok amphibia and komadirskie aftermarket dials fit very well. I wanted to keep date on the dial and all eta dials have it placed more to the centre.
The movement had removed all small hands to keep the dial clean.

    That was my inspiration
