Well I completely missed it even though I had remembered this morning and was excited.
Must be getting old.

;-(
Good man Vinny, I got his PRS68 in the gap between Eddie closing the site and re-opening when they first went on sale. Hopefully I was a bit sharper today. Although my order no ends 4055 and I"m sure that others go back beyond 3955!
Not specifically limited but may be limited by movement availability. Definitely another 100 to come though.

Don't think they'll be 100 watches for the next batch. IIRC, as it happened with PRS-82, there were more orders in than the watches put on for sale due to people having them in the shopping basket at the same time. Unfortunately, this time there's a limit of 200 watches (at least initially), so I'd say the next batch will be around 80 watches.
If I remember correctly, the PRS-82 also has the same limitation: Only 200 movements were procured and so only 200 watches were made. Also if I remember correctly, Eddie said that he might be able to procure more movements for the PRS-82 but it remains to be seen if and when that will happen. Similarly, it seems to me that more ETA 2893-2 movements for the PRS-21 are not going to be easy to come by and won't happen for quite a long time, if ever.
Its the same movement as the Speedbird GMT isn't it?
Yes.
This thread from August 2010 is relevant: http://forum.tz-uk.com/showthread.php?128883-Movements
Well done all those that secured one. Having pencil thin wrists, I'm left out of the Dreadnought excitement!
I had the impression that the PRS-82 was not limited by the movement availability, especially as it's still listed on the web as available. Anyway, with the shortage of ETA movements, it seems that watch producers/assemblers (which are not part of the Swatch group) will be offering only limited editions from now on.
It uses NOS ETA 2783 movements (200 of them as I recall). Once the watches made with those 200 movements are gone then there are three possibilities: (1) Source more NOS 2783 movements (and Eddie said that he thinks he can get more but isn't going to do it until the Voyager is out of the way), (2) modify the watch to take a different movement (e.g. Miyota 9015), or (3) no more PRS-82s.
Not all of the first 200 have sold out yet. ;-) I looked on Saturday and I seem to recall it's not many left.
Indeed so.
