Not really my cup of tea but it looks nicely executed so I can see the attraction.
Was flicking through a watch mag and came across Hautlence.
http://www.hautlence.com/en/
After doing a bit of googling they appear to be a alternative design brand specialising in jump hour movements.
Being a fan of the less mainstream I have to admit I like them.
Their newest being this HLRS
Which I think is quite handsome.
Just thought I'd share and see what the consensus is.
Not really my cup of tea but it looks nicely executed so I can see the attraction.
"I looked with pity not untinged with scorn upon these trivial-minded passers-by"
First watch I have seem which appears to have suffered a Stroke..
THE NOISE!!!!!!!!
you need a graphic equalizer just to look at it.......
sorry, not my cup of cha
The brand name is an anagram of Neuchâtel - the town in Switzerland where they are made.
The screw heads are symmetrically arranged. It'll do.
;-)
A quick look at the prices is a deal breaker and they are all hand winding!
Very nice I'm sure.. But too gimmicky for me.
not for me
I initially did not like this brand at all, but soon grew to find it interesting and creative. I just don't like the strap.
LOL, never would I Pay $ 39,795 for any model of this,
I guess this is for the Frank Muller fans/wannabes
As with many display back models - what's the point of displaying the movement if it is not attractively finished? That model really does not look like an expensive watch or even a quality one. I think it's just really horrible (sorry).

Oof, was all set to say that it looked interesting but that price tag shuts it down.
Cut price Richard Mille?
At the risk of sounding thick, what time is that watch showing? I can't work it out
Sorry. They tried too hard and have gone too far!
Not my cup of tea either, can never see the point of a watch that you have to think about what time it's showing, perhaps it would become second nature with extended use.
That and the price!
I would have possibly considered it for its novelty value but than as others have already said, the price!
Does the name remind anyone else of Flatulence?
With all due respect to the undoubted creativity and fine engineering skills on display, my eyes can't get past the unfortunate brand name...
Hautlence...Flatulen...
It must be my dyslexic traits kicking in again.
I see its a polarising brand, mainly negative, I would like to see one in person. At those prices they are definitely not within my means. I just like that they have tried something a little different without going completely off the reservation like uwerk ( which i love) or some Richard mille.
But yes it does sound like flatulence.
For the confused :) - they do have a more traditional looking model:
Saw it at Salon QP and liked it a lot.
I'm not normally into wacky watches but I rather like that. Not too keen on the Hautlence log in the middle though.
I like the look of that.
That's all I thought about.
"Excuse me sir, may I enquire as to the brand name of that fine watch you are wearing?"
"Hautlence."
"Beg pardon..?"
"Hautlence."
"Sorry, but I did not pass wind. If you wish to be rude, I shall enquire other, more polite person of their fine horological accoutrements. Good day to you!"
