    Perhaps odd that they are mostly of conflict/sadness/turmoil etc. Very few of anything joyous - guess it's the nature of emotion.

    Good photos, a stretch to call them 'The 30 most powerful photos ever' though.

    What about the little girl with the napalm burns from the Vietnam war? The Russian soldiers putting their flag on the Reichstag building, American soldiers at Iwo Jima, the student protester in front of the tank in Tiananmen Square?

    Those sort of collections are always very moving although you can always think of others that would fit just as well. Excellent posting

    Thought provoking, all of them, thanks for posting.
    Though somewhat oddly, the koala one was the best for me.

    I agree though that calling them the 30 most powerful is a bit of a stretch.
