I had the black dialled 033 for a while and always wished I had opted for the cream version instead - looks great.

Change "Seiko" for Omega Rolex or any other high end watch and it would cost a heck of a lot more.

Nowt wrong with this watch at all.

How much did customs take off you, if that is no too impertinent a question?

£52.31 + £13.50 handling fee, so total to pay at Parcelforce today was £65.81

Exactly what I was thinking, imvho its this price point where Seiko truly excels

It's the first time I've paid this kind of money for a Seiko (unless you include the Seiko digital I bought in 1978), but I must say I'm impressed so far.

Having two new watches in two days inevitably leads me to a comparison, even though the RRPs are very different. Both are dress watches, and both have lovely sword hands. The Ball is the more appropriate size dial for my 7.5" wrists (the Seiko is a little smaller than I would normally wear) but it's only really when using a loupe that the quality differences really show. The Ball looks beautifully finished, even under the loupe, but the engraved lettering on the back of the Seiko for instance looks a little rough, and the hands are certainly of lower quality.

Having said that, if it takes a loupe to see the quality differences between watches of such different prices, I'd say that's a glowing endorsement of the Seiko.

Was it shipped from Singapore or Japan? I think Creation ship some of their JDM watches from Japan. Lovely watch, the movement appears to be reasonably well finished unlike some other Seikos.

About 10% to get it into the UK then. If that"s typical then it seems worth a punt. Nice watch.

A bit more than that. The Creation price was £289.

Landed costs are based on the price declared in the customs paperwork plus the cost of shipping.
As from other threads recently, duty is not collected as it falls below the collectable level of £9, so it's just pure VAT @ 20%.
EMS will attract £15 for Parcelforce's admin fee, other postage options will be Royal Mail @ £8.

Very nice watch. I have the black dial version and it's a very comfortable watch to wear.

I wear mine on a daily basis and it seems to be pretty much as accurate as ETA movement watches priced slightly more.

I have teh 003 in black and always find it hard to read the dial..so I love white

  18. #18
Beauty! £289, even with the customs charges on top, feels like a bargain.

Nice... Fancy a SARB0065 one day (the dial is lovely) or maybe a SARB0015... Nicest of the Alpinist IMO

    Why not both?

Great value watches... Like 'em a lot

    Well done!

And that's the cheapest price I have found for that particular model. Usually they are selling for closer to 500 notes. The white dial one below is lovely and I have been considering going for an Orient Star in white just to compliment my SARB in black. I have not found one though at equal price to the SARB which is excellent value.

I have had mine for a few months now and while I wouldn't go to far with the praise of them (I would put them along side Tissot and other reasonably priced Swiss watches) Its an excellent watch for the price point I wear mine daily.

Those SARB 065s are stunning. The dial is amazing and the depth of the colour is incredible!!

I have something else incoming so I am actually going to put mine on SC tonight. Need to have a closer look but from what i remember, it is in mint condition.

The price from Creation is very good actually but dont forget to factor in import duty.

Hmmm....I'm still newbie so can't get access to SC just yet. Would love to know what you want for this, though...Could be seriously tempted!

Very nice watch. It'll do you proud.

I managed to get a friend to import me a black dial version earlier in the year. Took the bracelet off immediately as the quality of it didn't feel up to much. I put a decent leather strap on and couldn't be happier with it.

I've thought about getting a Cocktail Time for some time. SARBs are genuinely lovely watches.

I've never been caught with any charges for any purchase from Creation... Is it becoming more common now, or is it just for watches over a slightly higher value?

Quick question.. Is there just me who fancies the gold one?!

    For £301 it's such a pretty watch!

I didn't know that there was a blue one. It looks really great, but I would prefer the black or the white version in this one. Also the gold look really nice, but I would not go for that either.
