I bought number 139 about 3 weeks ago and have been wearing it every day since. It is currently at about +2s (in all that time). I just change between storing it dial up and crown down overnight. During the day it keeps perfect dead on time (neither gaining or losing). I guess I lucked out! And I just love it on the Erika's Original MN strap!

    Congratulations and welcome aboard Will

Thanks for the background on #44, we lost track of it after Utrecht!

Would love to see your Colareb strap.
I think you can add photos two ways....

Insert Image: (looks like a square with 4 points, just left of the filmstrip icon) then point to your image hosting provider of choice.
    or
Attachments: (paperclip) then Add Files, Choose File, Upload ~ admittedly I never do this so...

    cheers

    Fabulous photo enochRoot!

#139 looks to be in amazing condition - I assume because of the early number that it's one of the first batch of ETA 2783's but it looks totally MINT.

Need to get in on this Erika action soon.

Thanks! It does have the old stock 2783. And I was quite lucky to find one in such nice shape for a good price. It works out since I foolishly let one go a year or two ago.

As for those Erika's Original straps, they're a bit spendy, but worth the money. If you get one, be sure to ask for one to use with fixed bars. You can obviously use it with removable bars, but they are much more comfortable than the standard MN straps, and as a bonus, they allow the watch head to sit directly on the wrist.

    Try again ...

Sorry guys i'm confused (easily done in my case). When i try and upload photos via Google Photos (my host provider) they don't seem to show in the post, only links to the photos. Also when i try and create a library and insert them via the paperclip it does the same. I've read the FAQ's and it's only confusing me more! Any guidance would be much appreciated as i'd like to hang around here more often.

+ 1 on the Erika strap, and also on the watch with original movement and .... actually +1 on everything

Quick (very late) update - I sold #235 a couple of years ago... Mixed feelings about having done so.

Just tried to place an order but refused. :'(
    Will try again soon.

    "Closure

It's been necessary to close ordering once again due to the very high volume of orders received over the last 24 hours. To give you an idea of the volume, I've received as many orders in 24 hours as I was receiving in 2 weeks last year. I expect to re-open next week.

Apologies for any frustration this may cause.

Eddie sometimes doesn't update the closure messages so this might be the message from a few weeks ago when the PRS-18 COSC went on sale. He normally opens on a Tuesday so try again tomorrow.

I have the number 488. Arrived on Friday in Melbourne.
What a beautiful watch! My wrist is so skinny, it is still loose on the first hole. I will have to look for a new strap.

    Hi NobitaD

I think we share the same wrist size... ;-)

Have a look through this post, there's a Watchdoo Lumpy bracelet featured:
    (I don't have one myself...)

    PRS-82 Straps:
    https://forum.tz-uk.com/showthread.p...-PRS-82-Straps

Same bracelet also featured in this post

Precista PRS-82 - owner first impressions, photos and straps etc
    https://forum.tz-uk.com/showthread.p...raps-etc/page4

The Lumpy is mostly sold on eBay and maybe some forums

    Here's a review and better close-in photos
    http://rosswatchreview.com/2010/08/1...acelet-review/

Apparently the eBay link is the following, but I don't see any for sale right now
    https://www.ebay.com/sch/watchadoo/m...&_trksid=p3686

Any 20mm bracelet with straight-ends and a brushed finish is probably going to be fine.

    e.g. see here for "straight-end"
    https://forums.watchuseek.com/f281/r...et-264689.html

A lot of people use Strapcode for bracelets

    e.g.
    https://www.strapcode.com/store/20mm...html?infoBox=3

There's also the "mesh" style bracelet if that's to your taste

    e.g.
    https://www.strapcode.com/store/20mm...html?infoBox=4

    PS.
For everyone else's general interest and Saturday morning reading,
I just ran across this good older dive article featuring the PRS-82...

I had one with the original movement when they first came out but stupidly sold it.
Now have one with the 2824 movement #532 and it's my most worn watch, perfect diver for me.

I sold #534 a couple of months ago, to make way for a Bb58. I was just curious to see if the new owner had posted...and after scrolling through all the wonderful photos of it, I’m regretting selling for sure! Maybe I’ll have to get another in the future.

Anybody else here sold one and bought another?

Add one more to the USA count: #458 has been just outside of Boston, MA since purchased from TF in NOV of 2017.

My second TF watch; first was a PRS 17.

Can't seem to upload any pics, even though systems identical to WUS, where I have shared pics of this watch many times.

What lead me to TF and this watch is interest in as accurate as possible reissues (vs homages) of historical divers. I was interested in Seiko's SLA017, their recent reissue if the 62MAS... well, all but the price. Not saying wasn't worth it, rather to fit one in at that time would have required flipping I didn't want to do. After a point i decided to jump in, but at that point only a handful were still available, and at a considerable mark up.

I had been interested in the PRS 82 when they were NOS, but they were sold out. So when the 2824 version was available decided to buy one.

One of my favorite watches and a definite keeper for this chronic flipper.

Treated myself to a gen2 for my birthday in February.
Eddie kindly let me have #555
    It’s a beaut.
When worn it consistently looses 5 seconds a
day for 2 days then settles down to +/- 0
I think it contains a Platts micro gremlin to make you keep wearing it

Just over a month ago I posted saying I’d sold #534 and missed it. Received a message about a trade and I’ve wound up with #425, and I love it. Many thanks Waldorf 👍🏻

It’s probably answered previously in this thread, but just in case anyone knows off the top of their head...

When did the movement change to the 2824? I had it in my head it was after the first 200, but read an online review of the watch which stated it was after the first 500.

    Cheers all,

    Josh

    Yeah, good point to refresh...

In the first post here, I have it stated that it was after the first "500" that the change to 2824 happened.

You can also find references to that "500" figure here:
    https://www.speedychronos.com/post/2...made-for-abuse

What some people could find confusing is that I am pretty sure "In the beginning" there was only 200 old stock 2783...

Then iirc, Eddie found +300 additional old stock 2783 before switching to the 2824... so a total of 500 ETA 2783 watches were produced.

You will find at least one article or two online that refers to "200" ... because they were written in that intervening period

PRS-82 serial numbers seem to be

YY MM #### (the first # is always 0)
YY MM ### (no leading 0 ~ only happened in 2016?)

    where:

YY MM seems to be date of production.

Thus original release (2013) watches are like:

    1307####

whereas say watches released in say 2017 would be like:

    1704####

I have noticed one watch online that the seller said was from 2016, where the serial number is only ### digits.
so perhaps Eddie dropped the leading 0 in that batch, ... but it was back again on the 2017 release.

    e.g. 1601457

We haven't been tracking the full serial numbers here, just the #### part, so I am not sure which serial number was the last 2783 and which was the first 2824. It seems like the latest production year might have been "17" ...? So it will probably have been either 16mm500 or maybe 17mm0500

e.g. #535 was a 17 04 based on what I see from WatchPatrol, and it is one of the latest ones recorded here. Not sure if anyone has a more recent production date,

Also not sure how many different batches were produced to date:

e.g. I know of these ones:

    1307....
    1405...
    ? was there a 2015 release?
    1601...
    1704....

It's also interesting how many of the watches seem to have been 2783's... we are only up to 540 on the owners list, which suggests only 40+ or so are 2824 ???
