The first 500 PRS-82 were made using the "new old stock" ETA 2783

Originally in 2013 only 200 watches were produced ... but an additional 300 were built later.

Then starting in 2017, PRS-82 were made using the ETA 2824-2

MOVEMENT: ETA 2824-2 25 jewel automatic running at 28,800 BPH with Incabloc shock protection and Geneva stripes

    (Including you now too Jaunty)

    PS. JustaHunch...
I ballparked East Midlands as Rutland, but got you in the middle of a Water Reservoir, if you have a more preferred location, just shoot me any reference that will work in Google Maps. If you're cool with that, no worries!

    Redhed18,

I belong to the last group "Its in the mail group".

I've received the SAGE confirmation e-mail at 08:57.

Does it mean the watches are going to be shipped the next days?

    Regards,
    Gatt

    Hi Gatt
Sorry the "Its in the mail" group was just my own tongue-in-cheek list of people indicating they were expecting a shipment.
I have no official information on orders - just jotting down what people post here on the forum :)

I will rename this to "Patiently Waiting" or something...

For reference my own shipment to Canada went like this:

Ordered Oct 22, and received three emails same day from:
Sagepay = Your order from Timefactors has been processed successfully
Eddie Platts = Time Factors Confirmation Email for order...
UPS Quantum View = UPS Ship Notification

The watch was in my hands two days later. :)

    Unhappy Heads-Up: order canceled

A couple of hours ago my (paid) order has been canceled. Without any previous warning or request.

    Explanation: wrong shipping address.

Actually, 1 (one) digit was missing from my Postcode. I replied immediately sending the right Postcode. No answer.

I understand everyone manages his company the way he wants, but this is a really weird way to deal with customers.

    I'm more sad than upset.

Anyway, another customer in the waiting list will be happy now.

This isn't the full story though is it? The name on the credit card is not the name on the order and the address was incorrect. I think you'll find everyone runs their business in a way which minimises risk.

With all respect. As I wrote to you, that is the name of my wife. And she has the same address of mine. Obviously.

    This is the full story.

One email from you and everything could have been solved. One email.

Making sure you entered the correct address would also have avoided this.

Bit of an over-reaction. A little understanding of Eddie's or any other small business, and the fact that he ships these watches himself would mean you could appreciate that if someone gets an order wrong it's not the owner's responsibility, and he probably doesn't have the time, to go chasing you. I don't know of many businesses that would chase a customer, rather it's up to the customer to get their information right. Something tells me you have an unconscious tendency to get satisfaction from acting as a disgruntled customer and complaining, which in this case has prevented you from getting what you originally wanted; the watch itself.

You should know that there is probably another batch of these being released next week.

Whilst i feel for the chap from Italy having his order cancelled i'm afraid Eddie is 110% correct in his actions Our Eddie would never deliberately cancel an order without good reason perhaps an email or PM to Our host would sort out the situation.

Gatt, plenty more watches to come - we're only at like 90 of 200 ?
