I'll show you mine if you show me yours - Birth Year Watches!!!

    I think a birth-year watch is a lovely idea.

Nearest I got was May 1964, meaning my watch was born about 6 months after me.

I've already posted images of my almost-birthyear watch in another thread, but here it is again.

Both this Longines and I are 1950 vintage....
I want to find something a big more wearable for my large wrist from 1950 some time.

I am also a 1981 child and am looking for a birth year watch. A beautiful Seiko 6309-7049 just went for £411 on eBay, which was a bit out of my price range! (and overpriced in my opinion!)

Smiths Deluxe. The Sterling silver case was made in Birmingham in 1958, as was I; so it is birth year and birth place watch.

I don't have one so far, but am on a mission to join this thread with an '83 Rolex 16750.

I'm sure one will crop up on this thread shortly

It took me a long time to find a 1982 Omega I liked. This unusual Seamaster Quartz came along about 18 months ago so I pounced on it!

It lasted about a month, totally wasn't my style at all! Sold at a significant loss.

I won't buy another watch just because it's the right year!

Lovely birth year watch OP, crisp and stylish. Mine's quite a bit different... and handy if you find yourself needing to knock a nail in.

    Probably a 'nearly' as I think it's actually a 1961...

    I have two too....

    Bit greedy here.

Seiko 6105 which is Month and year

    Rolex GMT

    Seiko GS

First two were bought because of the birth year/month thing. The GS was a happy coincidence.

Still looking for that birth year watch, good watches I have seen from my year are out of my budget, but most are a load of crap. It was a bad year for watches 1946.
